Hey anyone know is there a way to enable text reflow on the galaxy nexus? Any ROMs that have it enabled for the stock browser?

Text reflow is the function where the text in a webpage rearranges itself to be read in one column when zoomed in.

I'm not sure if there are ROMs that have tweaked the stock browser to enable this, but the text is already formatted to fit the screen when zoomed in if your "auto fit pages" settings is already ticked, isn't it? Although it doesn't reformat itself when you zoom out, I noticed that its not like the true text reflow that other browsers have, but it gets the job done.
The fit to page text size is not big enough. It affects other browsers like Dolphin browser that depends on the ROM to perform text reflow... Too used to CM7 already... Don't like reading webpages ala iPhone where you have to scroll in 4 directions (up, down, left, right) to read the page, where with text reflow you only need to scroll in 2 (up and down).

Hrmm.. Just wondering, is anyone getting random signal loss? I'm on AOKP build 17 and from time to time it just looses signal. I know coz I set an LED notification for when signal is lost.

should be, signal loss is related to baseband.
I remember previously in ARHD, it's strongly recommended flash from XXKK1 to XXKK6.
when I switch to AOKP, also remain with XXKK6. so far so good. maybe you can try out.

Flashed XXKK6 using the Toolkit. Will observe. Thanks for the tip.

When I tap my phone wiith my IC it will have some sound, but I really dont understand bout NFC, should it display info like my t&g balance?

And how can I share things with my dad's Bold 9900 that has NFC?
*
Unless you have an app to decode or access the memory blocks of your IC or TnG card, you will only see that it detects memory blocks, but cannot display information from it. The info are encoded. There're many NFC apps in Market to play around.

*
Just check under Settings -> About phone -> Status -> Mobile network type. If HSDPA then is 3G. AFAIK the 3G icon only appears when data is transmitted?

lol seriously the unessential chat has to stop. Making the thread progress unnecessarily fast. It doesn't prove anything by racing thread numbers.

Battery life improving by Day 5. Can tahan 12 hours no problem now.

hi my android sifus biggrin.gif

just want to ask a question about the gnex calander app

when i touch to go in...it opens alright but when i want to add something to the calender it requests me to sign in to my google account which i do but it keeps saying that the account is already signed onto my phone...and doesnt allow me to go in..

i dont understand this and it doesn't make sense to me @.@

can someone enlighten me? :S
*
It's asking you to pick one account to associate your calender events to. it's intentional because some people use different account for different Google services.

If it says signed it, means you clicked on 'new account'. Should click 'existing account'.

Some firework shots using the Nexus.

From the process of taking those shots, I realise that the lack of focus modes is a bane. Shots like these are the best time to use infinity mode. But no, the camera must always focus before shooting. Had to pre-focus every time then only take a shot. Not very efficient when taking shots like this.

Also need ISO settings. I'm guessing the ISO settings being hidden from the user is to maintain the zero shutter lag reputation, but then, at least should give the user the option to forgo the zero shutter lag in return for more control.

Maybe I need to hunt for a camera app that offers more manual controls. But then, all of them are kinda sucky... Hopefully the CyanogenMod team has someone who's interested in cameras and can implement manual controls for the camera. It's a Nexus afterall, so I'm guessing it's only a matter of someone picking up the idea and making it come true.

Note: I'm in no way bashing the camera sensor quality. I'm way past that.

one issue here, whenever i got notification, i can directly drag the bar without unlocking the screen first (face unlock, pattern, pin) ..so it indirectly bypass the unlock method. is it a common feature in android?
*
It's a feature in ICS. If you have a password or face unlock enabled, the notification bar cannot be dragged open.

I'd say the heat shouldn't really be an issue to the operation of the phone. Unless someone gets a warning from the phone about the heat, I'd say it's a discomfort brought on by the thinness of the phone, and that's it.

issit normal during fastboot (rooting) have to wait more than 3 minit?
*
No, not really.

To confirm if your phone is recognised by the toolkit, you should be able to see the folloing:

When connected to toolkit while booted into Fastboot/bootloader:

When connected to toolkit while booted into Android:
user posted image

If the serial number is not displayed, then nothing will be performed on the phone since the toolkit cannot communicate to the phone in the first place.

When the serial number displays as shown, means the drivers were properly installed.

EDIT: I have no idea why the first image isn't showing, but it's the same as the 2nd image, just that the serial number appears under 'fastboot mode'.
