samsung gardens still have stock ?

Asked yesterday and no stock. Say stock coming before CNY, should be this week but they can't confirm if and when it will actually arrive. Salary and bonus just in today, very itchy to get one straight from SEP and pay the higher price >.<

I'm surprised that no one on XDA has managed to hack the camera to record at 1080p@30fps instead of the default 24fps >.<

So nice, all you GNex owners have full hardware acceleration...

Android app speed comparison with 2D hardware acceleration enabled and disabled:

Edit: Thanks AlphaBeta!

Not all apps can be forced to be GPU accelerated. Some apps just crash until you turn the option off.

I'm sorry to say this, but one reason why we have 4 GNex threads is cos there are so many posts that could have been reduced with a simple Google search.. There's barely anything useful on so many pages, and the useful ones are so hard to find cos this has become a chatting corner instead of a discussion thread..

I'm sure many of you know how to use Google. I'm not a moderator, but at least keep the chit chat to a minimal and keep the discussion ongoing. Also, people should read the first post, and if what you want to know isn't on the first post, a quick Google search will almost certainly give you the information you are looking for.

Sorry if I offend anyone, but I guess this has to be said.

1)Anyone can hear static noise when playing back video that has been recorded using the front camera?

2) is there any file explorer / apps that can hide a folder in the phone so that it wont appear / will only appear in Gallery if we select..? Cause i want to hide some "files" from being viewed by other people brows.gif
*
You can try Quickpic. You can select which folders that can be seen in all gallery-type apps, but the folder will still be visible in file-explorer apps.

No other apps that combines folder hiding and folder explorer in the same app?
*
So far I have not tried any as anyone who holds my phone will probably not be interested in an App called ES File Explorer or Root Explorer xD

Yeahhh, but they would loveeee to go to your Gallery without telling you.

Ya, that's why Quickpic is enough. It can hide folders from all gallery apps except file explorer kind of apps. Good enough for most people biggrin.gif

I just replied here and wow... I got this imba reply from the OP....

I'm just going to copy paste my reply in XDA...

This won't happen because the whole point of a Nexus phone is to have a stable platform for each new OS. This having a new SoC, and this long after the official Nexus release means it's probably a false rumour. 99% false I would say. All Nexus phones so far have ALL been on 1 standard SoC, just how Google wants it to be.

I have to say this again sorry... You're using a Google product... Please learn how to use Google and cut down on the chit chat >.<

Yes I know this is a forum. But a forum by definition is a place for discussion, with facts already in hand, not a Q&A session..

Nobody has to listen to me, but I believe that this will make the forum much easier to navigate and for new users to find information. Every few pages the same questions get asked and just floods the thread..

hah? long time ago already reach android but only unique for garmin asus. A series only, android 2.1  doh.gif

your hope quite slim as this is important selling point for garmin asus. if garmin open for all android, they might losing their selling point on their hardware. let's see next Asus padfone, whether they will adopt it or not...
*
I have not seen a single Asus Garmin phone being actually used by anyone here. Even if they loose out on hardware sales, their software sales would jump so high cos many people are used to Garmin and they would buy the app if available for Android.

the profit cannot be calculate directly on the number of user who use android... they have to put R&D into making sure garmin works with android ALL the time... R&D that they could've spend even more on improving their own hardware and industrial product..

This is the same for every single Android developer out there...doesn't mean it cannot be done, especially when there are millions of Android devices that are your potential users. If app developers can afford to continue supporting their apps on a majority of phones, I don't see how a multi-billion dollar company like Garmin cannot do the same.
