QUOTE(lowya @ Dec 29 2013, 05:17 PM)
i got a few things to get myself busy, my upcoming projects:

1. look into savvy overheating problem cry.gif , need to check fan motor? is install extra fan necessary? Tomorrow visit a Shah Alam workshop to check. due to over heating, i wanna pay closely to gauges monitoring.

Want to get this elm327 Bluetooth ECU car diagnostic adapter to monitor the performance closely, pretty cool stuff and small investment. But, can anyone confirm if it works for 2007 manual savvy? maybe will go ahead to grab one to test. rolleyes.gif

2. Sometimes the reverse gear only can get in only after a few tries. Anyone had this problem and found a way to fix it?

3. Clutch cable a bit hard need to check, put some oil to smoothen the left leg press?

4. any good transponder key duplicator model to buy?

5. need to find a good (but not expansive) savvy specialist workshop near Bukit Jalil, Serdang or Puchong. Any recommendation? (other than renaultech and rs auto)

1) Install extra fan around RM100. Radiator flush, around RM100.
ELM327 not compatible for PRE2007 model. However, no 1 can confirm it works on post 07. If you wanna try, come over I let you hook up my OBD scanner and check your protocol. However, got 1 that confirmed works, but it's gonna cost you alot more, you may consult Mahihi.

2) Manual? Need to adjust shift link. Settle mine at Renautech - Alan did it.

3) Add grease alone will do. Do not adjust cable length, or it's going to speed up the wear of your clutch cover.

4) Any key duplicator promised you RM50 and below is a good buy.

5) Don't have yawn.gif

this one looks quite good. though I'm more to sound quality than anything else. im not really an audiophile but i really hate those fm modulator thingys... buzzing and just audio not good.
how do we judge whether the DIN is good sound wise without going to the shop and ask to test?

i think reputable brands like jvc clarion pioneer, etc. have acceptable or even good audio quality.

Alpine UTE-42EBT Bluetooth Media Player - RM370
Specs look decent on the website - http://www.alpine.com.au/showItem.php?item_id=311

BT3.0 decent but with A2DP works for me. no CD (doesnt matter to me) but front AUX + 1A USB (can charge!!) seems good.

anyone have used Alpine before?
takes 4 speakers at 50W so fits our shawie too?
even comes with remote O.o

i replaced my speakers while maintaining the stock player.
the difference is big! at least got low and high now. spent rm200 for blue something speaker.

For a start, do not giam siap on HU. Then a decent set of better copper wiring, finally speakers. EQ, not required. Usually a decent quality HU can do magic ady. I don't have an elf ear, but that's how the forum categorize me. Ayam still on stock speaker, how is that an elf can accept the fact the stock speakers only produce mid range, whilst the cymbal details are all covered by unsupported bass came out from the same rubbish paper mid range stock speaker? The only reason I do not promote stock HU is because it doesn't support USB, and the FM modulator produce bunch of distortion.

Nah! Just the HU alone, running on rubbish 192kbps MP3 nia.
