As w33wawa already answered most of your queries, you can send in for Renautech as they're the expert in Renault, price is acceptable. Do remember, EURO engine, EURO price. Compare apple to apple, you're having a very reliable EURO engine and EURO quality with EURO handling(Lotus). Despite Shawie looked like a toilet bowl with wheels, but its a very comfortable EURO toilet bowl. The closest match Plotong GaGa still can't beat the ride & handling in a Shawie.

As for AMT, I personally can't guarantee you after spending a fortune, the problem won't come back again. To fully overhaul an AMT transmission, price can come close to 3k. Not include if parts NEED to be replaced. I'm talking about service it back, not replacing. Please book for RS Auto, according to my understanding, RS and Osman is cheaper than Renautech. For me, Renautech is just simply easier accessible for me. Frankly, if within 1k can settle, then repair it back. If really more than 3k, I suggest you sell the damn car and buy another 1 better.

Not convenient to comment on MyBi. They've very good engine from Toyoga, fuel efficiency similar to Shawie, rides & handling.... I really can't comment much. Already kena 1 time warning, don't wanna get my account suspend because of commenting on other make/model sad.gif

lol @ the mybi pics. yeah i heard a ton of stuff about its instability. but home ministers say so... cant really go against. just have to tell my sis to take it easy i guess. yeah we already poured in 3k for an overhaul so we're selling it off.

in any case, ill be keeping my MT smile.gif
I just wanted to know which branch is more reliable, since Renautech is USJ1 and everyone says they're good i dont mind taking the drive up. cool2.gif
approx how much would be the tdc sensor change/mod be?

Plotong aint gonna do all that thing for you, they have no fuken idea wadafuq a TDC sensor does whistling.gif To keep your warranty(if you still have 1), please wait until finish then only go outside do/mod the TDC sensor. You may also wanna clean your throttlebody every 1 or 1.5 years according to Alan - Renautech. He say not trying to earn my money, but our D4F rocker PCV(breather) aint designed to be that efficient, or it was purposely designed to leak engine oil to the intake throttlebody to gain lubricant to the butterfly. In ang mo country may be ok la, since not that dirty. In our dusty environment, provided a wet throttlebody can easily stuck up the butterfly. Hence the jerk last week w33wawa komplen about. After wash throttlebody, all settled. Alan charge me RM20 the last time he clean my throttlebody. After that, I DIY liao whistling.gif So easy to do whistling.gif

Clean of course will not void warranty

Mod = Modify, do you expect somebody go and change their iFon casing to some caina pink color casing can still enjoy the warranty from Aple?

TDC sensor, if your car crank start as usual with no problem, then don't bother, ALAN said so. Again the old saying goes, if it's not broken, why fix it? rolleyes.gif

Where do you stay my friend. You need to stop sending Shawie to Plotong SC, presume your car already 5 years old warranty lapsed. Plotong SC know how on Shawie is very limited, parts and labor are generally marked up several folds from general market value, therefore their price is "SLIGHTLY" expansive. If you staying in KL, please proceed to Subang USJ look for Renautech. Klang/Shah Alam area, you may visit Osman Baba or RS Auto. Hypermount also recommended 1 from Melaka, another 1 from Penang but I can't remember where exactly. I hope next term I'll become TS so I can manage the info to help all new Shawie owners nod.gif
