I still have my streamyx wireless router, wondering is it a good idea to set it as a Wireless-G AP, while i set my unifi DIR615 as a wireless-N router. The streamyx wireless router is connected to the DIR 615 via bridge. At least like this, wireless N devices wont be dragged down by wireless G devices...

I dont think so because the modem is in bridge mode it needs the router to dial out.

because the free one is crap. At first i thought why everyone keep complaint complaint conclusion is true the free one is really CRAP.

Simple definition simple usage

Simple usage - DIR 615 is okay
Heavy downloading - must change

I am using TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND the stability and speed is superb. No disconnection at all not even lose signal

hmmm means if i wanna get the maximum speed from the unifi.. i need to change modem la >.<

else cant get speed like 4mb/s downloads? tongue.gif

thanks for the router recommendation... will ask sister to share the router purchase with me muahahaha tongue.gif

You can get max speed on the DIR615 just its not stable la. Is very hard to explain.

After you buy the new router than you first try with the DIR615 then after try with the new router.

You can feel there is a difference in my opinion and experience.

Actually someone did this but only on HG655a (Huawei VDSL2 Modem). The dialer is still inside the router. It's weird but yea... IPTV doesn't need to go through the dialer. Maybe you can search by keyword in this thread. Lazy to dig it out.
