really tempted by fruitie bulk order~ maybe want to invest in another 3g modem

but i think she posted wrong specs for each modem tongue.gif
e353 only support umts 2100 unless it is e353u-2
and i see 367 supporting quadband unless she is only taking in single band type
(e367 doesnt support GSM but i cant figure out why i need it anyway)

here are my findings and i am still trying to figure out wether to commit myself into another modem or not tongue.gif

it is good that u clearly stated "above just link speed between PC and the cellular network device", not actual real time network traffic speed. otherwise some members can't figure these info, thinking "wah, this is download speed ar i want get it" then go buy it, after using it know that now work out, and label this is misleading info to them complaining somewhere else...

both also as good, like a Toyota Camry and a Toyota Lexus
Can use on Router TP Link MR3220 and MR3420, i tested both routers.

Fantastic, fast connection.

i got 1 E182e for testing since day 1 into modem biz and also bcoz this time by chance got some E367u-8 stock for sellling... so knowing differences..

maybe ok to compare saying: toyota camry vs toyota lexus. but i think more than that (in terms of reception sensitivity & real time traffic speed). (since 18xx series and K4505 carry same chipset same class, no big difference among them, more into different 3g band support, on the other hand 3 series is having different qualcomm chipset and design ...)

just never voice any of this b4...

one day when enough testing done with E182e, i would let go that unit @ 2nd hand price. who want can pm me ur name, when the time come i contact u.

So true cos I have experience it before...

My fren say his internet so slow.. so I ask, why he use and what is the speed he getting...

answer... 'Use Maxis, speed 100Mbps...' doh.gif

Another one is.. (this one use streamyx)

'My LAN port kaput , shop ask me to buy USB LAN card. Already use it, the speed now I get is 100Mbps but why still slow like before' doh.gif

(his original port 10Mbps only)

take me hours to explain to them.

seeing lym willing to accept even just 7 days warranty with RM165, i also willing sell that price, why not? just never expected lym would accept this kind of terms. for sure u are not one among them lah i believe. hehe. so i now also adjusting ready stock price to suit different 'taste' lym, and no need bulk. happy ending.

it will be hard for u to explain to ur friend face to face with machine right there, right?

let alone i need to reply in word in pm to ppl enquiries.

so hope any lym wanna post this kind of picture info, remember always state clearly what is that about, so not to be accused by another forumer as giving outt misleading info.

Mr. coolstore, what's your intention here? It seems to me you are trying to fish buyers here. smile.gif

I'm not saying based on competitor's point of view. Oh well, I don't even call myself a competitor. I only do this for fun, if I depend this for my income, I would have starved by now. smile.gif I have a stable income and to gain high margin of profit is not something that I'm looking at. smile.gif After all, I'm getting some for my family members as well, so I took this opportunity and to earn little bit for my lunch. blush.gif

It is LYN and not LYM, for your information. Have a nice day. smile.gif

If you see my posts, I don't mention anything about pricing or anything in discussion threads. You do know you can't do that around right?

No heart feelings.

sincerely u-2 u-8 or u wat also useless cause ONLY Umts2100 gives highspeed in Malaysia.....

morale of my story, as long it can run on umts2100, that is it.......you have a high probably to get highspeed , umts900 speed is for "grey" areas where u get signal but not highspeed like hard to reach concealed area.......

our Gomen damn clever to sell this "unuse" bandwidth to telcos like Maxis/Celcom to tap into grey areas , Gomen earn money literally from the space we breathe doh.gif

ya, higher frequency carry higher data flow, definitely higher speed. this is factual.
wimax why run at 2300MHz (malaysia) or 2500MHz (wimax in the world). Coming LTE run at 2600MHz. And even upper class wifi N product also wanna run 5GHz for multimedia along with 2.4GHz, all go higher & higher, same theory.

but higher frequency has weakness of building/obstruction penetration capabilities compared to lower frequency.

so as u said, some telco run at lower frequency such as 900MHz, 850MHz, not just in malaysia. not with the intention to compete speed with 2100MHz, but for better indoor signal reception objective, so wishing lesser ppl complain this telco that telco. (from technical point of view and also my view lah). Just as what Digi CEO said in star paper biz interview, they also keep applying lower frequency till today, still waiting... (digi cannot get, so u might be right about the 'grey matter').

if can stick all the time with 2100MHz farily good signal definitely the best. the additional band support available in a modem are bonus feature, and more valueable for traveller (US don't run 2100MHz if i not mistaken), and also useful when a telco add in additional band (just as the case celcom/maxis did last year).

next year LTE would run at 2600MHz but also at lower 1800MHz. higher speed still 2600MHz. reason why have 1800MHz should be understandable, just again don't know which telco...

Recently I signed up for the u-mobile broadband plans and bought the 21mps wifi modem. However I'm not satisfied with the connectivity and coverage for u-mobile.
Then I tried to put back my maxis sim card into the umobile wifi modem device, but then I got the message that this device is network lock. I tried calling umobile but they refuse to Give me the pin. So my question is there anyway I can unlock the device?
Or I'm stuck with using umobile service with the modem?
