To be honest, I don't really buy the idea of having one separate modem brand for one thread.

Probably need to consolidate all in one.

It's just a sudden burst, so nothing to be surprised about.

We do get that once a while. biggrin.gif

I bought my ZTE MF622 from digilife too. laugh.gif Time flies and I'm still keeping the modem as backup, let it rest while my Huawei E1762 takes over the heavy role. I just need a HSPA modem these days.

Previously had an Option iCON 505 as well but sold it off as it doesn't differ much compared to my Huawei E1762 except for a slight better ping. That doesn't matter to me a lot actually.

ZTE MF622 emits heat better than E1762, anytime. It is still a good modem but just that I need a modem that has higher upload speed. Fortunately, managed to pick up a nice used unit of E1762 at a bargained price. Looks good for now. biggrin.gif

I learn my lesson well, I'm not going to flash my E1762, again.
Later I'll have sleepless nights again just to fix its compatibility issue with my router. laugh.gif

to play safe, using a 3G router is the best choice from all the trouble getting with direct plug hehe  laugh.gif
*
Yes, want to use 3G router and flash Huawei modems?
Can, make sure to buy TP Link MR3420, else be prepared for sleepless nights. I had once in last year's November. Takut already.

Nope I was using the latest version until Chuah posted this. Managed to find out the culprit that caused the incompatibility. blush.gif

so (the default) NDIS, the our Acteach router detect NDIS or RAS?
any improvement using the latest firmware? Can make voice call and USSD?
*
If you have updated to the firmware which I have updated in Maxis thread, you have to change your modem settings to RAS else it can't be connected using NDIS.
The blue LED will keep blinking.

Something that is negligible but somehow makes a big difference to the fussy router - Aztech HW550-3G.

It works the same for me, irregardless NDIS or RAS. Both capture high speed when the network is not down. biggrin.gif

I must pair my modem with router because:
1) It auto connects when it disconnects
2) It gives more stable connection when I'm using LAN cable (Cat 6)
3) It transmits WiFi signal which is useful for my iPad
4) My modem is not working well when it is directly plugged to my laptop

After so long, I'm still stuck with E1762. Oh well, my busy working life is taking over my life now. So bad that I barely surf net at home. At most also 1-2 hours before I hit the sack. I lose all my interests in broadband services, which used to be my most interested field.

I don't bother to check out with my engineers on the latest implementation, I think my life really sucks these days.

Rant done. E1762 still works well for me. Pair it with my Maxis, it works super well unless Maxis tries to be funny to me, which happens all the time. doh.gif

Yes, it showed connected here but actually there wasn't any packet received. Hence, the sites were not moving. Froze for a few seconds to approx 1 minute, then it will be back to action again. Not sure why. I thought it only happened when I was in PJ, looks like it happens in PD as well...

Well, it is passion. smile.gif
You might think it is not worth, others think it's their passion.
Just like my photography hobby, with the money I spent on photography, many have told me, "I might as well spend it as down payment for a car or even a house."
My answer is simple, "Different people, different passion."

Price wise, its >rm100 , but consider this

The router itself is as small as a E353, so having said this, the battery must be small, hence how long do you think it can "survive" when you are on the go.

Just take a Huddle to compare, its battery is 2700mAh, Lithium Polymer, made in Korea, quality wise is damn Good but it can only last abt 5 hrs maximum, so how long this thing can tahan?

It also cannot be use while charging, it have to be fully charged, then only it can be used.

Can it support high speed modem, like E353 or E372?

I hope the seller wont fucuk me when he reads my writings  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Yes it supports E372 and YES dongle. smile.gif
Can use cable one ma, not bulky. laugh.gif
Anyway, good for those travel all the time, that includes me but I'm not getting another this thing. sweat.gif
