In case anyone dropped their phone, and causing their touch screen to crack, Sony Ericsson service centre quoted RM480 for the touch screen replacement.

Does anyone have other recommendations on replacing the touch screen?I think I read on a post previously on getting the touchscreen ourselves and having a third-party repair it?

seems many already havin the crack problem, conclusion i say most arc wil crack soon or later.. not sure wit arc s tho..

ok let me clarify this.
xperia arc/arc s has the most stunning design.
but it lack of processor speed.
FYI, arc/arc s is CAMERA phone.
Ok. I repeat. It is CAMERA phone.
thats mean, SE make an arc/arc s focused more on CAMERA.
and that processor speed is juz enough to process the image and also HD video.
it is not as good as Nokia N8 but it is the best among android phone.
even if u compared to other android phone, arc/arc s still the winner in term of camera quality.
the processor speed is juz enough to stream ur youtube video, play high end game, and other application.
if u say arc/arc s face a lag while navigate through the UI, then u hav to know that it is normal.
even if u using dual core galaxy s2, u will face a lil of lag.
arc/arc s is said to be outdated juz because it processor is still single core while other manufacturer making a dual core phone.
for me, even it is single core, but it run smooth for me right now.
throw any game even tegra optimized game to arc/arc s, sure it will handle perfectly.
once again i want u to know that, arc/arc s is CAMERA phone.
so u've got the point why it lack in term of processor speed.

Yes before thos got 1 guy ask me wanna repair in times square..Only 300..u can find this user gurwin..
coz my drop and cracked too..SE quote me same 480.

guys.. arc S n arc main diff is the processor only right?..
if arc S is 1.4ghz with same battery capacity.. does that mean that it has shorter battery life?..

any rumours or news bout release date of official ICS update for ARC/S ?

According Sony Xperia Product Blog, Arc s will get ICS on end March/early April 2012, while Arc on end April/early May 2012.

I actually test the 80.9mb game and it work flawlessly full frame rate .

It work even on old sgs and x10 . I cant see why wouldnt it work on my arc .

My arc S can even run street fighter IV HD without any problem .

Try it urself before simply claim that xxxxx wont work .
