hello, anyone having problem with arc internal battery? my arc clock always reset to 1980 whenever i cabut the battery, or when my battery drain to 0%. and i observed the battery drained really fast even when idle. before this i can get 24 hour usage, but now to hold for 24 hour per charge with no data usage and auto update off also can't.. :-(
*
Phone clock will reset when battery took out for long time (I not sure how long, maybe 5-15 minutes??). Same thing happen to battery drained until 0% and not immediate charge it. This is normal phenomenon.

How old your battery now? Almost 1 year? Charge and discharge process will deteriorate your battery performance from time to time. If your battery still new, there are many factors can cause battery drain fast depends on your usage, apps install and many more. Try study your battery usage first, look which process drain your battery more.

I don't know why but I can't get along with the out of the box sweep panorama. I use the original (and still the best) Panorama Beta which was released for X10. It is easier to control and you don't have to go full length sweep, just stop when you feel like it. You can get it here http://www.multiupload.com/6WK277WJ50 of course, some degree of hand steadiness is needed wink.gif
*
What's your firmware version? 2.3.3 or 2.3.4? Sweep panorama is new feature for firmware ver. 2.3.4.

Wont be cheaper. I think it discontinue..

Look at x10 price still 1k..if cheap also not much..

Btw all of u who update to 2.3.4 got power save mode?
*
Currently, "power save mode" still exclusive for Xperia Ray only.

Not sure Arc/Arc S can get this cool feature in future firmware update??

Btw, for those who have this phone, can it switch keyboard to foreign languages easily like iPhone? For example, if suddenly I want to type chinese SMS, can it switch keyboard with a click like iPhone?
*
I don't have iPhone, don't know how convenient to switch between different languages.

For Arc, switching languages not too bad. First, type SMS in english, then want to type chinese text, just touch and hold for 2 sec at SMS typing space. It will pop up a window to select "input method", if select "chinese keyboard", then can type in chinese. If want change other languages, use same procedures to change "input method".

No problem for me to change languages during typing SMS.

Guys, how to check whether the warranty is 1 or 2 years? And what are the benefits of 2 years warranty?
*
Ori set come with 1 year warranty from authorized distributor, able to claim the warranty at any Sony Ericsson authorized service centers around Malaysia.

AP set depend on AP companies, some give 1 year, some give 2 years. Warranty claim only at AP companies or shop which bought the phone.

Accessories might be different between ori set and AP set.

Of course, more warranty year more better, but depend on warranty coverage (accessories, LCD or battery) from AP companies. So, better ask AP companies staff what kind of warranty coverage included before purchase the phone.

Yes..coz of cheapo quality cover maybe doh.gif

I think design flaw rather than plastic quality. Most of us cracked at bottom of proximity sensor. If they can adjust the proximity sensor location higher a bit, so more material will allocate at this tiny area. This should be reduced the crack issue a lot.

I am still very undecided whether to buy experia arc or not since I read from users of phone crack issues.  This phone's spec and price suits me fine except for this flaw.  Does everyone's phone will crack after 6 months and any way to prevent or is it under warranty?  I don't always change my hp and will use for a few years.

Tks.
*
I already used this phone almost 6 month. There is a tiny crack under proximity sensor. But very very hard to notice unless put under very bright light, then can see a tiny line. I think very hard to prevent it from crack no matter how careful you handle it. I used melkco leather case (hard cover type) to protect the phone, somehow it cracked too.

Anyway, still no regretted bought this phone, it can meet my need.

Normally, Malaysia update a bit late compared to other countries, so be patient. If you can't wait, can flash with Official Sony ICS Rom.

i think u has mistaken my word, i mean wat happen to those apps that i install in my arc, that then i move to sd via app2sd apps ?
*
Transfer all apps back to phone memory (temporary only). Then copy/move all files from 32GB memory card to 8GB memory card. Put in 8GB memory card to arc. Transfer apps to memory card again.

Argggh!

Maybe telco service down or SIM card problem. Do you test with other SIM card?
