its simple, if cannot afford the price over a 5 years loan, look for cheaper car. if can afford and willing to accept whatever loss that will arise, buy it. its better than to whine about what prices SD place over the car and how it compares with other marques.
So you basically saying, "If wan to buy then buy"? That pretty much doesnt add anything to the discussion.

am i willing to plonk 120k on this car? done much higher  doh.gif  however SC service is way better than H & T.  rclxms.gif

The question is not whether u will pay RM120k for a car, so what if you paid higher? I bougth a RM200k car, doesnt mean I wanna buy this car, the question is will you pay RM120k for THIS car.

well the discussion was actually about if 120k is reasonable or not. did u miss all that?

whether or not it will change SD's policy, anyone with the right mind or basic common sense wud know the answer.

this is an online forum mind u. its where opinions are voiced out, or debates on different opinions yo. not where decisions are being made.

This thread is not going anywhere atm. Lets see how many pre-bookings convert into actual sales when the time comes.

Will I pay $120k for this Inokom badge CKD car? I would if it is CBU. Still, I gotta test drive it first when it launches. Then would decide if this is better than Mazda 3 2.0 CKD which is similar pricing. Anyway both car takde second hand value.

if you talk about drive-ability, no, mazda 3 road handling beats that.

http://www.caranddriver.com/comparisons/11...comparison-test

mazda 3 has worse resale than korean car? lol.

er...anyone saying sonata beats mazda 6? ( since both models are out on the road for quite sometime)

yes, hyundai is good, but not that good, yet.

I'm not saying Mazda has worse resale value than Korean car. Still it is nowhere near T & H for resale value right? That's why I say both Mazda & Hyundai second hand value not good.

Yes I know Mazda road handling is one of the best out there but I think Elantra has a better spec. Moreover Mazda's car FC is very bad. Unless of coz if Mazda 3 is fitted with SkyActiv engine then I would not think twice in getting it. However I don't foresee SkyActiv engines coming to our shore anytime soon.

Prefer Mazda 6 more than Sonata for its styling & design. However not within my means. Thats why only comparing Mazda 3 & Elantra.

+1, If you able to buy this car in cash, you will save the interest from bank loan and definitely you're the one who having minimum loss if you decide to sell the car in short term. But in "Reality" majority of ppl can only afford this car with 7 - 9 years loan. So his opinion can only apply to those Richer ppl or "himself".

haha rm120k for this car is a joke and a turn off for everyone, better if go for civic 1.8cc around 120k. Safer in term of depreciation and reliability.

Smart Consumer
- rm120k - mazda3, civic, altis.
- rm95k - forte 2.0, elantra 1.8.
- rm85k - forte 1.6, elantra 1.6

Rich minority consumer or brainless consumer
- rm120k - elantra 1.8
-rm130k - sonata 2.0

That's why this car is going to be another failure in malaysia like thier previous hyundai i30 which is hot but priced too high for a korean car which is not worth at all.

Reason - this is the sucky bolehland, that's why korean can never sell thier car expensive here. nuff said

This thread is for us to voice out our opinion, not to place a booking or for those who affordable only to come in.

do you see the logic of debating on prices when you are not in control of setting prices? that's why i said can afford buy, cannot afford, look elsewhere. if you cannot comprehend this simple logic, then i guess .. whistling.gif

Elantra 2011 with price 105K-120K is AIM on the die hard buyer who ready to sacrifice for any potential risk, like no spare part or bad service . Lunchtime go ahead with Elantra, without you Kia, Cheverolet....can't sustain their business in Malaysia. Don't withdraw after read the statement brows.gif

I'm not sure how accurate your logic. But if the Elantra is more than RM105K than i will take Nissan Teana icon_idea.gif
What is the logic here my dear ?
