In my opinion, forte is way out of this segments league. Sometimes when I hear people comparing forte with civic/Altis, it makes me giggle. To me, it is more in city/dugong(vios)'s range but with a 2.0 engine advantage. When you compare avante, do it with civic or Altis. You don't go comparing a c-class with a Camry.
Back to the topic, I believe SD is really doing a bad job launching this car despite all the hello impossible crap. Yes the car is nice and all that but what are they doing on the service centers? People who boast how great sonata was, at the end of the day the volume sold is still low but of course improved. Same goes to forte. What I am trying to say is to strengthen the brand, they should improve on their 3s centers and make it convenient. Honda and Toyota is like dell. A lot of people hate it but still buy it as their after service is great.
Forte is much bigger and heavier than vios which is categorize as C segment car, are you sure they are only difference in "CC" ?? Do you really know what Forte have where Vios dont have?

I LOL'ed hard

when I read your comment about forte is out of this C-segment league... compare with city/vios? LOL!
Compare an apple with an apple, not orange dude! in fact Forte/Altis/Civic/Avante/Lancer they all fall under the same category, which is C-segment!
Definitely he is the one who only stick on "Key entry" system and "Start engine with Key" that kind of old technology and mindset

My 2cent:-
Price below RM100K (new)
**** 2011 Kia Forte 2.0 SX (6-speed auto)
- got style, FC (decently) low, easy service by principal or 3rd party service center, only lower resell value compare to Jap car
- Note: By the time you sell the car in 5 years, Kia brand would have risen, and your salary will got up to more than RM1k or much more

, means it will offset depreciation value and allow you to evaluate the D-class segment drive
Price below RM100K (2nd hand)
**** 2009 Honda Civic 1.8L (5-speed auto)
- got style, FC (decently) low, branded and easy service by principal or 3rd party service center, plus by paying a few RM$$$$K to upgrade leather seating and canggih sound system (8-speakers+subwoofer, USB+iPod, GPS & Touch Screen), by buying 2nd hand and saving the 1st hand car money you would have paid
Added on February 19, 2012, 3:26 pmMy 2cent:- Part 2
New cars to consider for 2012 (C-class segment)
1. H. Civic 2012
2. H. Elantra 2012
3. F. Focus 2012
4. Peugeot 408
5. Madza3 with Skyactiv
I think will price between RM 100k to RM130k?
Definitely option 2, but with condition price lower than other 4 cars.
