QUOTE(lightning69 @ Mar 21 2012, 03:34 PM) Thanks for you advise. Will definitely out the Prius C when I am back home. I will not consider the Insight & Jazz Hybrid as I find the IMA not very impressive. Not very interested in Korean car( although I must admit that the recent Korean offering absolutely put the jap to shame) because over here in Sarawak, the Korean cars have very poor after sale service and the service centre is really second grade and that somehow translate to very poor resale value. I don't really need to buy a Prius C unless it really impress me to the extend that I want to let go the Altis. We'll see. Just went to show room, after comparing the cars with other model, few this is one of the most worthy car to buy. As it offer push start engine, smart entry, cruiser, 7 air bags, VSC, TRC, colour dashboard display & etc, which Altis, Vios, Fiesta & others don't have it. It will be so much if you add up the cost to install. If you are going for compact car, probably is a good choice. Only if you don't mind the bad design of interior which most of us complain about.

NO doubt Honda IMA is no match with HSD, plenty of problem & not as good. Such as the air-con cut off when car stop. You will be baked when stuck in jam in the middle of sun. Most important IMA is only assist then powering the car. HSD even can start & enjoy the air-con indoor till the battery low & need engine to recharge it.

I am very excited about the Prius C because of all the features you mention above and even have telescopic steering wheel which my Honda Odyssey don't even have. Cars like Camry in Malaysia also don't have telescopic Steering wheel if I am not wrong. But for most people including myself, I find it difficult to pay RM100k for a compact car unless it is truely exceptional. Again I could get a Myvi for half the price which is even more spacious yet it serve the same purpose.

QUOTE(dingdangdong @ Mar 22 2012, 09:02 AM) Prius C vs Jazz HybridWonder if any of you guys face the same dilemma ? With a very simple to choose Prius C, HSD is much better then IMA. Prius C have EV mode which Honda don't have. You can cruise quietly in neighbor hood with EV mode. (won't wake up your wife/mom when you back home late )

That's why Prius C Japanese version has pedestrians warning system to generate car driving sound to alert people when in slow moving EV mode. Malaysia version seems doesn't have it!

Then probably Jazz is the best choice for you. I can sense you prefer Jazz hybrid, but due to Prius C have more pros that make you confuse. Probably at 100k you can even opt for fiesta, Peuguot, Madza which run on petrol & much more fun to drive & cheaper. As I rather cruise in EV mode especially indoor or swapping car at home. Really waste of petrol when you just need to move & park your car.

I did consider all other RM100K cars available in msia right now, but it all boils down to the fact that hybrid cars currently enjoy lesser tax, so I believe I'm getting more "bang for my buck" by limiting my choice to these 2 hybrid models. Right now 55:45 on PriusC/Jazz Hybrid

Sometime how noisy also cannot hear if you notice that most people have either an earphone or headphone stuck on the head, some even those noise cancelling type... Lorry also cannot hear.... Preference toward quiet engine is good as keep the noise polution down as main noise source nowadays is motor vehicle sound and air conditioning sound from building...
