Well generally one must admit and move on hahaha.... tell me you now prefer much more confortable / smooth and quiet ride compare to the good old days biggrin.gif where we buy car for handling / performance / sweet sound of the engine hahaha

Added on March 20, 2012, 10:41 amI think priusC has the boot space similar to Myvi maybe a little more same as Fiesta and Jazz this category car is suitable for secondary town drive car and not suitable for family outstation trip (maybe if you are single and not quite available you can use this type of car to travel outstation for luggage of 2 people) in this category those who hate hybrid can go for Polo / Fiesta Hatch / Jazz or Yaris... and for those who want HYBRID (ala tree hugger) have option for Honda Jazz Hybrid / Toyota PriusC and those who prefer a more sporty feel can have CRz and CT200h

while Prius and Insight offer full boot space good for those who want to buy car as a Main family vehicle (ala primary vehicle) can have option for Toyota Prius and Honda Insight

Fair comment. Some toyota lickboy would take it as 'pro comment' but its fair.

Everybody should witness and try this car.

Btw, the backseat and cargo are sort of limited compared to Civic, so if you have children riding along it might not be suitable.

Will know in a few days time if it is suitable for my wife.

from the design itself already show that prius c is meant for style rather than spacious feel.. honda crz and prius c go hand in hand..roughly that kind of slight limited space but it's sufficient for some people..

Offtrack a bit...
Actually for anyone who has been to Japan residential area or commercial carpark they would understand why Prius C sells like hotcake (6 month waiting) while Civic totally bombed over there. Their parking space and cornering allowance in carpark are terrible, so small that I kept taking picture and study how Japanese park their cars, Civic has terrible turning radius btw. They seems to me not particular about style, most cars are in white or silver color.

Actually, this is more like second car for city commuting. I have a Honda Odyssey that take cares of moving people and cargo.

My wife is happy with any car and the Altis is fine with her too now. She drove 60-70km everyday going to work and fetching 2 kids to school and tuition. Its just me who like to try new technology and I find the Prius C have most of the goodies like 7 airbags, cruise control(which I never use), telescopic steering, Keyless Ignition and entry, ABS, etc. But what really excites me is the 53mpg which most reviews say its easily achievable on the Prius C.

I won't buy a Prius for 40k more. I rather buy an accord or camry at that price.

I won't buy an Insight because I really hate the low roof of the passenger seat. and also the "second class" hybrid technology (this is a fact so no need to flame anymore).

Not yet lah. Still need to see the car and test drive it.

Last time I got some interest in the Insight but when I saw the car, I am really disappointed. So still haven't see the Prius C, but my wife say its pretty small.

My brother in law went to test drive the car yesterday and came back disappointed.

Sound proofing very poor...can hear wind and tyres sound very clearly. Dashboard quality very poor and the very small cabin(smaller then Vios).

Basically he said not worth it for Rm99K(in Sarawak).

Ehk, seriously? I thought the sound proofing and the dashboard are pretty good to me when I was test driving. As for the cabin, I would say it's just nice for a compact car - not too small, not too big.

Your bro in law comparing with Merz or something big ah? tongue.gif Or I guess different people have different opinion about it laugh.gif

+1

You need to take note this is a Hybrid Car, it more focus on its technology then the comfort & interior. Although plenty of people also complain the poor interior design & quality.

Or else can consider Forte which really value for money.

No lah. He got a Vios for my sister, and a Nissan Navara for himself. That is what he notice from his test drive. Wind and tyres sound very loud in the cabin.

I think the size comparison was with the Vios. I think for Rm100k, most people expect better built quality.

Better try it yourself. I would say soundproofing prius c vs vios is about the same. But vios engine noisier for sure.
Also test Jazz hybrid, Insight, or include forte 2.0 and inspira due to price similarity (though their FC way off).

Scouting for a new car is an exciting activities. To be fair, try cars from the same class or price back to back. You'll be surprise how a world class, well known manufacturer kid us with their strippedown model.

Thanks for you advise. Will definitely out the Prius C when I am back home. I will not consider the Insight & Jazz Hybrid as I find the IMA not very impressive. Not very interested in Korean car( although I must admit that the recent Korean offering absolutely put the jap to shame) because over here in Sarawak, the Korean cars have very poor after sale service and the service centre is really second grade and that somehow translate to very poor resale value.

I don't really need to buy a Prius C unless it really impress me to the extend that I want to let go the Altis.

We'll see.
