for silent practice just put any shirt on the cymbals and toms..cheapest way imo

yeah sure u didnt get the feeling and the sound, but at least u get to practice ur chops..haha

electronics the way to go bro..but make sure u try to play in a acoustic setting once in a while, cuz the bounciness of pad and toms are totally different..if u play fast in electronic, doesnt mean ur playing in acoustic is the same too..

Edrum is great for practising. I'm using the Billy Blast Ballistech mesh heads on my e-drum. No doubt, the response is slightly different from accoustic drum but you may barely notice it (depends how you set it up). Much better than using plastic pad. The only problem I have when playing with my e-drum is can't play different tone with one trigger and software freeze. I'm using the cheap Alesis drum though.

So depending on how you set it up, the response may differ? I didn't know that. So how do you set it up correctly? I mean to get the best response? smile.gif

Snare pad and kick pad. That's what I'm doing now la. tongue.gif I saw a really cheap Roland TD-10 go for about RM3k the other day, almost got it! But at the last minute the auction price shot up. HAHA
