Got the chance to check out a set of acrylic drums the other day belonging to a professional drummer that I know. I haven't seen any others in Malaysia, so yeah. No pictures though. D:

They were a set of custom acrylics, no idea where he got them from. First things first, they were incredibly bright and loud, especially in the small room that we were in. Not much resonance, and it doesn't have the tonal qualities of wood, obviously, heh. But it was a great experience and fun to play with. And it looked wicked!

SBR are beginner cymbals. x)
Expensive tau. xD Cheapest set I would get is USD3000 without shipping. *burn* Might as well get Ludwig Classic Maple rclxm9.gif

I traded my AAX crash with a HHX and I'm now in a very... weird phase. Its a good cymbals, but the china flange on this particular HHX crash is slightly weird. Heh. The other ones I tried didn't have this. But oh well.

Nope, just HHX. biggrin.gif Its a very nice cymbal though, very nice projection. biggrin.gif Just that when played with a hand, you can hear a bit of a chinese flange, but when played normally its fine. biggrin.gif

HAHAHA! Depending on your own taste lah. smile.gif Classic Maple drums are really nice. Some Acrylics are nice too! I'm not a huge fan of the Vistalites though.

go for drums isolation booth. for the one with 90% sound proof, usually about RM10K. for almost 100%, will cost more.

building a 100% soundproof room may cost you over RM30K

50% soundproof room around RM10K
