QUOTE(isaacmiranda7 @ Dec 28 2011, 03:54 PM) Hmm.. You'll have to consider a lot of factors. For some reason, in Malaysia, "exclusive" distributorship is a big thing. yeah Axis and Trick are real rarities over here...oh n i would really love to see Sleishmann over here.hehe.no other options other than overseas.if got 2nd oso hard to find.talking bout smaller brands for cymbals,it reminds me of 1 music shop that used to deal Bosphorus in KK.wonder why'd they closed down.. But first: There is no doubt that there is demand nowadays, for a "drum" shop, but whether it'll do well, remains to be seen. You'll probably need the big brands, for the cymbals, which means getting a dealership (which costs a lot) from places like Yamaha (Sabian) and Bentley (Zildjian) and so on, so forth. I don't think smaller brands like UFIP or TRX and even Istanbul or Soultone would do too well at first, perhaps you could bring it in later on. Drumset brands are also mostly taken up by "exclusive" distributors as well. So, you might want to look into opening up your shop for used sets as well. Unless, you want to make this shop an exclusive shop, that caters to pros only? But then you wouldn't probably do too well. I would love to see Battlefield, SJC, UFIP, Brady, Axis and Trick on Malaysian soil someday Which head is it? This post has been edited by muckstefan: Dec 28 2011, 06:56 PM |

5p3ak - u think so ez ah double bass. haha. to accomodate the extra bass drum would need a big room. a BIG one.
and u need to tune it to a same pitch. and u need to buy two single pedals. and the neighbour will become crazier than ever with the double bass noise. fuu might just use the money to buy more hardwares. and btw how Trick is supposed to be overprice in US, since they were made there? |

QUOTE(5p3ak @ Dec 29 2011, 07:06 PM) Not this year Anyway, I set up and tuned drums for one of my clients today (my school Basically, they ordered two sets of the Ludwig Element kit with Evans heads, and I threw in some cymbals and Gibraltar hardware, cause it was quite a big order, with a lot of other audio equipment including amps and mics, etc. So, I set up one of the kits today, and mixed it in with the previous set (Pearl Forum And now the entire kit goes like this. Its not the best stuff, but for a school, I have to admit its already pretty okay lah. FOR A SCHOOL. xD Cymbals: Stagg EXK 14' hi hats, Pearl 14' hi-hats (side hats Drums (from left to right): Pearl Forum 16' floor, Pearl Forum 14 x 6.5 steel snare, Ludwig Element 14 x 6.5 snare, Element 10' tom, Element 12' tom, Element 22' bass drum, Element 13' floor tom, Element 16' floor tom. The Element toms are outfitted with Evans Hydraulics (its durable, will last long, and super easy to tune, making crap drums sound decent Pictures soon, maybe. HEHEHEHE. |
