Y U NO GET Xs20?!

The reason why is because the xs2 are off my budget. Besides, I am more towards a zildjian fan rather than sabian. Bentley is throwing in 50% off for zhts and that's a good deal for me IMO.

I'm really getting annoyed with our local music stores. The stuff that they don't generally bring in all the time, they're lazy to go and find out the cost.

Don't read the below text if you don't want to read a wall of rant.

Anyway, to me it seems as though our local shops really aren't very interested in going through the hassle of bringing in a special high-end kit or the like, even for a special order. Really, in Malaysia, when was the last time you saw a Pearl Reference, Tama Starclassic, Yamaha Recording Custom, Mapex Orion, Ludwig Classic Maple, DW Professional kit being displayed in a store for sale?

Even when I sell kits, I generally tend to focus on the low-midrange market, because that is all that our friends here have in stock most of the time. Everything else, 6 months or longer wait. Is this the reason why we don't really have nice gear around Msia?

I think most of the shops we have here nowadays don't know the real meaning of the word: service.

Seems like Bentley fcuked me up. Yesterday I called and confirm they said that they are offering me the ZHT pro. Just now I call and ask about some other stuff and to confirm my kit, they said they are giving me the zxt rock set.

I was like whuutt. Broke my heart man. But they said to give me the ZHT pro including the kit for a slight higher price. Dissapointed for that. But I guess even with the zxt rock set, it seems A pretty good deal.

Drums market is also booming, but won't grown so much if the system continues this way.

I ordered a kit from them last time with two FLOOR toms and instead they gave me one floor tom and one mounted rack tom. 6 months to replace order, I just took this one lah.

Hmm.. Singaporean service is also much better. With some of my guitar gear (for myself and customers), I sometimes go down to Singapore and grab the gear, even if it's around the same price as it ought to be in Malaysia cause of service, faster response, etc.

But I can agree that some retailers are pretty good. So far, the only company that I've bought from that is a main distributor for drums, for drum items, happily, with no problems at all, prompt replies and even though the prices are starting to creep up wink.gif is JS lorh.

Anyway, I've got a friend selling a Tama Superstar Custom shell pack for RM3.5k, and I'm selling my Ludwig Epic (with no snare) for RM3k. smile.gif

1. Don't get the Gigmaker, it's a waste of money. Top up a bit more and get at least a Pearl Vision or Ludwig Epic smile.gif

Anyway, now we're past that, we can talk about the relative awesomeness of Yamaha drums. HAHAHAHA!

The Stage Custom is a pretty solid set. It's got punch and power and is a pretty good all rounder set.

Next up, the only one I've got experience with other than those two, is the Yamaha Oak Custom. Terrific response and the output is just crazy. And the tone is <3 HAHAHAHAHA!
