Hmm...Im already format my beloved dv6 and dont do the recovery disc thing. So can you help me which software indicate for HP software e.g HP Coolsense, HP Connection thg, HP Support Assistant

Download HP Support Assistant here. It's bundled with CoolSense.

I don't think you gonna need HP Wireless Assistant.

Unfortunately yes. Between meetings I hibernate my laptop before I put it in the bag. Out of 10 restarts, i get 3 blue screen with "atikmpag.sys" as the culprit.

So i have to long-press the power button to force power off. But it usually works ok When I restart it.

Will install leshcat's drivers today. Will let you know how it goes.

Hello..my laptop not reach 2 months with me,yet I have format it twice..yesterday while facebooking,my laptop suddenly hang(ultimate hang,cannot use Ctrl Alt Del)..after off using power button and turn on again,the problem is about startup..what is the source of problem actually?hmm...

Either disable hardware acceleration for flash or try disable powerplay and change gpu clock to 726/801 with msi afterburner or sapphire trix.

yea U2 also suitable for dv6... but if can get U3 better ^^

U2 ngam2 fit our laptop while U3 make it look like a boss.


Asus G53SX or MSI GE620DX-675 both FHD and MSI being the cheapest of both@RM3,499.

i tempted to get U3... but i wan someone to help me customise the fan... since i read reviews that the original fans are not very good and easily spoil.....

oh well... have to wait till got budget... >.<

this is the second time..i try to use startup repair with cmd using win7 cd(bootrec) and it scan '0' windows installation..
