i just rooted my sgs2 yesterday..

and after root..i dunno it is normal or my sgs2 got problem..

my sgs2 screen look brighter than usual..even i set brightness to 0..

it is still look brighter..

Yeah, i am also looking for a good screen protector...i bought one last time, quiet expensive, dunno what brand for my wife's Wave 2...it was good! Hardly can see smudges...always clear...my cheap plak protector....kanasai...tons of smudges...( Btw, i am not referring to those anti-static one....anti-static blurred the screen...totally waste your SGS2 beautiful S-AMOLED Plus screen....i want those crystal clear one...).

Any good clear coat protector which don't attract much smudges???

I did check mine and by using 1A, I get 10% increase for 30 minutes.I think some say depend on kernel

depending on whether u r using ur phone when charging. if u r gaming like crazy or surfing like a boss when charging, then u shud be glad that the battery reading is increasing. if u jz leave it there and charge, yes probably its faulty.

Does anybody ever tried flash firmware using Mobile Odin.? I tried but cannot find the firmware once i download it from intratech. Anything i had to do to make the firmware 'seen' by this blardy Mobile Odin.??

are you using stock cf root kernel? If you are, then it's most likely placebo. Some other custom kernels probably have adjusted lightning (for automatic settings).

yeah., i did try using androzip but cannot fully extract the 7zip. Most probably because it's too big (firmware ~300mb).
btw..do you know where i can get firmware in zip or tar instead of 7zip..? I'm trying flashing new firmware via Mobile Odin but failed as it cant detect 7zip file/firmware from intratech :-(

Previously i always buy expensive screen protector and it last until i dont want to used the phone but i miss the beauty of the screen. Now i just put very cheap clear screen protector. So i can replace it everymonth or whenever it wear out. Rm1-5 only. N after few month new phone coming...
