Was flashing Checkrom V4 RevoHD just now.

1) Coming from XXKI4 stock rom 2.3.5.
2) Installed CF Root for that version so I can get Clockworkmod.
3) Flashed RevoHD with CWM. (before that I did factory wipe and cleared dalvik cache etc.)
4) Reboots and everything is okay.

5) problem begins here, in the main OS I cannot enter CWM app. It shows a blackscreen. I entered CWM using the button combination but it shows blackscreen as well.

6) i solved by taking out the battery, and successfully booting into CWM 5 (checkrom's version). I did a factory reset and everything reverts back to normal. The kitchenapp/maxthon browser etc were gone as well because i did a factory reset.


I'm paranoid at this point. Is my installation working fine? Everything else seems okay. Should I redo it?

anyone here with Checkrom RevoHD V4 can check if the rom itself contains Samsung Apps? (which will occur every time you do a clean reset)

are you using stock cf root kernel? If you are, then it's most likely placebo. Some other custom kernels probably have adjusted lightning (for automatic settings).

U install teh Checkrom.

My point earlier is that gadgetcheck did all the dirty work for you. It is basically Touchwiz stock WITHOUT all the bloat. (plus some hardware acceleration and tweaks)

best if you transfer it to ext sd card. Who knows what'll happen to the internal storage if shit happens.

just played with Airdroid on my S2. f*** awesome. If anyone loves managing the phone on a large screen, use airdroid. It almost completely replaces KIES.
