This is getting really old. Modern Combat causes sleep of death even when I use ondemand. I thought that moving from conservative would help, but it did not.
Everytime I lock my screen for like 1 minute, the phone cannot wake up. Wondering if it can be caused by me UV settings? Edit: Increased all voltages by 25mV and it seems to be fixed. This post has been edited by ashwin1234: Jan 4 2012, 07:00 PM |

QUOTE(drakzero @ Jan 4 2012, 04:47 PM) Yep, using external SD and saved the photo to the external SD. I tried removing the external SD and save the photos directly to the phone, but it happens as well (the hang problem) =\ maybe need to upgrade your firmware to 2.3.6. my wife's g version comes with 2.3.6, no hang problem yet. and not rooted also.and yes, it's a G version =] |

QUOTE(iori57 @ Jan 4 2012, 06:13 PM) ya i notice 80% people in this forum that report those problems are i9100G Actually, custom ROM is not that much stable compared to stock. It's just that non-G users have a lot of avenue to solve their problem (some other people experienced it before and have a fix for it).another conclusion might be... for non G user most edi using custom rom, whereas G user mostly stock... custom rom less problem compare to stock also a possibility.. maybe some G users with problems try flashing Super Rom for G version and report back whether less problems? |

QUOTE(rattan @ Jan 4 2012, 05:43 PM) always thought the g version suppose to have a longer battery life then the non g version. even on GB 2.3.6 still camera fc ? Stock ROM ? It's mixed bag. Some of the G models I tried have better battery life than non-G models & some don't.I tested all the phones in same condition (stock rom, lowest brightness & no extra apps) My friends said 2.3.6 reduced the camera fc but sometimes it'll happen again. Both I9100 & I9100G is a good device with good collections of hardware. In term of hardware SGS II is still one of the best device around even though it was announced nearly 1 year ago.But the software side is bit questionable.Perhaps it's time for Samsung to concentrate improve on their software side now. I know custom rom can clear some of Samsung's mess but as a device seller Samsung should deliver the best possible software by themselves. QUOTE(iori57 @ Jan 4 2012, 06:13 PM) ya i notice 80% people in this forum that report those problems are i9100G Not really. There are still some of the I9100 users around.Even with stock rom there's not much complaint from their side.another conclusion might be... for non G user most edi using custom rom, whereas G user mostly stock... custom rom less problem compare to stock also a possibility.. maybe some G users with problems try flashing Super Rom for G version and report back whether less problems? Correction : Well supported custom rom delivers better experience compared to stock rom.Rest of the custom rom which compiled noobly & with poor developer support will just give users more problem. |

QUOTE(nicregi @ Jan 4 2012, 07:53 PM) CM7 is great honestly but I would say like 95% stable la. If you are adventurous, you should try CM7. A whole new world compared to our normal ones. For Android 2.3 I prefer Touchwiz version over CM7 version. But for Android 4.0 I think I'll go for CM9 over Touchwiz version.I do not like what I see from the alpha ICS rom from Samsung for SGS II. Somebody asked whether there's ambient light sensor in SGS II? http://www.ifixit.com/Teardown/Samsung-Gal...Teardown/5861/2 Check the disassembly & see yourself on what else sensors are in SGS II. |

QUOTE(deora @ Jan 4 2012, 06:31 PM) Try this:Setting > Go Keyboard > Input setting > Display Suggestions > Off See if this works Added on January 4, 2012, 8:08 pm QUOTE(super_evil_alien @ Jan 4 2012, 08:02 PM) For Android 2.3 I prefer Touchwiz version over CM7 version. Even though I support CM, I wouldn't like CM7 as during those time, too much bug (which i don't mind) but the only issue I got was I had too less time to 'play' around. Therefore, if biasa usage I would suggest other custom roms honestly. For Android 4.0+, I would definitely have a look at CM9 and I think they are doing pretty well but not yet going to try. Maybe when it is done stable and we shall see how This post has been edited by nicregi: Jan 4 2012, 08:08 PM |

QUOTE(Positron @ Jan 4 2012, 07:27 PM) i am using it, personally i love it so much that i keep reverting back to CM7 after i flash any other rom. I cant comment much but u seriously have to try it urself to judge it. its stable to me, never had any issues though. all these issues might be dependent on which rom u come from and what u have done to ur phone before CM7. always remember to read about the known issues and see if there is any alternative way to solve it from the forum |

Piece of free advise bro : Don't mess with girls phones if it's working fine.Drawback will be catastrophic if something went wrong.Speaking from my experience |
