I didn't notice there's a 2.3.6. I suppose we update our phone via Kies? Never tried it before. Gotta try it when I can then. Thanks for the insight! =D

Curious question : How many of I9100G users actually have trouble free device?
I've probably tried 10 SGS II (I9100 + I9100G) & from my experience the I9100G model does have higher number of problems compared to I9100.

I wonder if our problem is due to Hardware or software errors. I've asked other S2 users but it seems like this problem is rather rare at times. Did not ask if theirs was a G or non G version though

For I9100G user facing FC or hanging on Camera, shall updates to latest 2.3.6 firmware, mine came with stock 2.3.6 (I9100GDZKJ2) running fine, my friend one which is stock 2.3.5 and it hanging like hell during taken photo, after updates to latest firmware, it seems much stable now.

@Andrewtst

Does your friend's phone still hang? Since you mentioned "much more stable" instead of seamless or something like that. bobtiang is using G version with 2.3.6 (fresh out of box) but he faces camera FC as well. but if 2.3.6 can significantly cut down its occurrence, I'm all for it =D

It is significantly cut down a lot on photo taken hanging issue but I can't said it is 100% free of hang. At least on previous maybe 2 photo taken will hang, now maybe 10++ photo taken also won't hang.

By the way, I notice the best way to much prevent hanging during taken photo is just snap and don't keep previewing it after snap.

Mine doesn't hang as often as your friend's. Hope that the occurrence will be even lower after the update. The hang part happens pretty randomly though. It happens whenever it likes whether I preview it or not. But I sort of notice that if we clear memory too often it hangs a whole lot more =]

ya i notice 80% people in this forum that report those problems are i9100G

another conclusion might be... for non G user most edi using custom rom, whereas G user mostly stock...

custom rom less problem compare to stock also a possibility..

maybe some G users with problems try flashing Super Rom for G version and report back whether less problems?

if the video that you want to watch is a 720/1080p, you can change it like how you change on desktop.
