my gnote keep disconnecting every time I hit the upgrade button (via kies)....make it the gnote unable to perform the upgrade...how to fix this

Don't fix this - this is normal behaviour. Kies runs another app to perform the upgrade and it gets disconnected. Just wait for the entire upgrade to be downloaded then it will transfer to the note.

Oh....I want root! Darn, can't run my root apps .

fuuu..already past 1 hour update..just reach 50%.need sleep first until updated settled.
wake up 4am to monitor again (and can watch city vs liv).gud nite

so far, what is good n bad after update...

but it came back to the beginning and notify me again about the newer version....no progress at all...is this related to the battery level...mine is at 55% right now

Added on January 4, 2012, 12:53 amya it is possible to root the devices after upgrading to the newest firmware. but for now, i think it is impossible since most of us are having problem that cant root the notes after update to 2.3.6 KL3

simple, wait til KL3 can be sucessfuly root.

very subjective, for me anythng beyond 50 is bad.

Those having problems with Kies, try taking out your memory card if you have them installed in your Note. Worked for me. Wanted to post for help on why my Note refuses to connect to Kies on my notebook. I guess the 64 GB is not compatible?





The whole process took around 20 minutes for me. Half the time was taken to download as I think the servers are jammed up.

What's so scary about? It's not the end of the world when you cannot root. It's not a must to have the Note rooted. Be patient. Sooner or later somebody will find a way.

I want to root! Heard it makes quite a difference. How's the new OS so far? Worth the update?

I think someone shared a link on how to transfer contacts/messages etc from iPhone to Android last time, couldn't find it now. Can share again? Much appreciated.

is it so hard to get root? Mine can get rooted and installed recovery in less than 5 minutes, then customs rom. The whole process took less than half an hour (around 15minutes)

you mean the newest update stock 2.3.6? or custom rom?

if previous stock or custom rom sure can easily get rooted.
