It is very and extremely unbelievable  easy . I recommend you to flash Chainfire - you will get root and CWM installed same time. Whole process just take 5 mins. Make sure you download the right file matching your kernel . Than just connect phone to PC and run the "not-root.bat" file
Before that have KIES installed on PC so that the phone USB drivers are installed on PC

wanna ask if anyone uses those external battery packs like yaobao? if I use it to charge the phone while I am driving and at the same time, use the phone as GPS (maybe using waze), will the yaobao be able to keep up, in the sense at least make sure phone battery level don't drop?

I worry it might not be able to keep up and cause the battery level to drop... if do, defeat purpose and I might as well just user a car charger. but my preference is external battery pack like yaobao, if it meets my requirement.

my car is the cheapest car in the market. dun wanna stress it too much, else I got GPS but car can't get me there... lol.

I guess based on benny888 and thpace reply, I am better off with a car charger. should be good thing too since my ori charger is giving that hissing sound and I'm not convinced that it's normal. car charger sets should also have adaptor for normal sockets, right? any reliable and cheap (cheaper than ori) brand you can recommend? thanks...

on rocket rom + abyss 2.3 kernel + update market 3.4.4 , so far so good. tested radio lastime on stock rom, cant find any channel here. now im able to get 5 channel! =)

Rocketrom has reverted back kernel to FM on ver 10 and ver 9.1  : should test it out first before changing to Abyss

played with it whole day, ( i got mine today, but i got my gf a note too last 2 week ) but i very well want my note to be updated buddy.... please help

a week ago...I was asking sifus here what are roots, roms, and such...later I became a superuser and progressing..mainly I toyed with the older SGS first...it seem so easy and everything went so smooth...so I am confident enough to root my Note...now.... my device was problem free...screen, battery etc all sound. I am being greedy that is. I even asked a few question before embarking on Rocket V9...on the last cycle before I yell YES I DID IT!!! It bricked. I made a mistake because I was panic, I should have stayed calm and do recovery, instead I try to use Odin, reading a forum I've forgotten (my browser was full of pages at that time) in kelam kabut my Note went coma...now in samsung hospital....if you understand what I am talking here and you want the latest stuff go ahead but let me remind you...our Notes are among the best at the moment in term of performance, display, etc...on it's own is enough to attract attention...that's all I have to say being very free without my gadget ha ha...

Can I use the microusb cable and charger from my Nokia N97 for this Note?  The original cable came with the phone is too short to reach me from the socket.

running the rocket rom v11 now without FULL wipe from rocket rom KL3 v9. so far so good. camera checked. all running smooth.

Omg, seriously 8 to 12 hours? Can't even last a day? Its worse than my desire hd n also iPhone4. Maybe the big screen really consumes lots of battery.

just got back my note frm the service center...seem like is not the board problem because after changing it, the WiFi signal reception is still the same...vvv weak...I suspect is the chip they use, a very cheap and low quality one..

How do it make sense when the WiFi AP is just 5 step from you and you still receive on 1 or 2 bar of WiFi signal....

What a disappointment of this Note...
