hi, one question. i recently updated to 7.1 using the desktop manager and i heard quite a bit about bb device analyzer but surprisingly i couldn't find this feature after the update.

Since the update too, my twitter notifications will appear at the bar but when i pull the bar down, nothing appears. i still have to search for the twitter icon in the panel to access twitter.

anyone here experienced something similar?

Go to Options / Device / Advanced System Settings and then type ALT+BBDA.

for the twitter, try reinstalling. I had similar prob with all my social apps. when I reinstall it works fine again.

can u guys do this?

open messages,compose other,compose pin.

only have bbm,facebook

previously i noticed there is compose pin.

google up and found few other 9900 user also could not compose pin messages.

i think yours only prob. mine have all option just fine.

guys..i think my bb got a problem..but im not sure whether its my phone or the telco

it seems that it always lost the network coverage..either went no cvrage or sos or searching for network

anyone knows how to determine the real problem on my bb?

anyone experiencing any lag while using Whatsapp? i send and receive messages perfectly but the app loads really slow for me and scrolling through my contact list is even worse. any ideas? tried reinstalling, it's still the same.

My 9790 is running OS 7.1.0.569 and Whatsapp 2.8.198 - no lag here.

Does it happen in most of the location? I noticed my previous 9900 and current 9790 network receiver is quite poor, as some of the places i go has very weak or no signal. I personally think 9790 network signal is slightly better.

When I install my OS, there was an option for me to select Asian characters installation.

i posted a few weeks back regarding the shitty battery life of this 9790,so now i've updated to the 7.1 bundle 1647 and i'm VERY satisfied with the performance now.

before this it was on stock version 7.0 and had to charge the phone around 3-5times a day! madness!

but now on the 7.1 version,max charge is twice a day. only once i charged it 3times a day. twice/day is not that impressive but at least better than before.

curve 9300 user here contemplating to get the bold 9790
- better camera w AF, and VGA video
- better screen reso
- capacitive touch screen
- better keyboard
- better/newer OS 7.1 (with wifi hotspot too?)
- faster processor
- built in 8GB
- more RAM
- with NFC
- battery??

guess i have quite a list of pluses to upgrade (uh and some extra money to spend). just some concern on the battery now - with my curve 3G am on always on EDGE - only switch to 3G if i need to browse or dl apps.
