Anyone interested to get a third party 1450mah 'JM1' batt for his/her 9790? I found a seller in CN who sells for about RM350 for 15 units, which is less than RM25 (I think) per battery+cloner-kit. Some sort of bulk buy, perhaps? http://goo.gl/HC5OYFree shipping to MY, takes about 2-4 weeks usually (I have bought stuff from aliexpress.com before).

QUOTE(marcus20125 @ Feb 5 2012, 10:58 AM) why not just get E-Power 1300mAh Battery for only RM25 and come with 1 year local warranty Have never heard of this e-power brand. Also don't remember seeing it before in Penang. 1300mah is the only capacity available for the 9900/9790?

Seems like this new feature called 'battery saving mode' found only in the 7.1 leak for the 9790 (for now) is making some waves out there.. I just found that it can be set permanently ON instead of based on battery level. Not sure what it does though, my phone seems to run the same with or without this mode enabled - maybe it's some deep, low-level mumbo jumbo http://n4bb.com/blackberry-battery-save-mo...790-os-7-1-leak

OS7.1 with battery saving mode enabled always, today..
15 hours+ uptime with about 30% battery left in 3G mode, with about a total of 1 hour of active usage. Tomorrow I will turn the mode off and try again. This post has been edited by kmrdeva: Feb 9 2012, 11:30 PM

QUOTE(xadamx @ Feb 10 2012, 04:16 PM) hi, you use the jm-1 standard battery?? how to upgrade the new os?? thanks, noobies here..hohohohohoh... Yes, still the standard JM-1 battery. The upgrade process is the same like when you install a leaked or official firmware. Tutorial is available at http://n4bb.com/leaked-blackberry-bold-9790-os-7-1-0-247 which I think is using BBSAK. To use the standard BB DM, please search at Crackberry.com. I am a BB noobie too, but I am a very quick learner This post has been edited by kmrdeva: Feb 10 2012, 04:30 PM

QUOTE(dyn09 @ Feb 9 2012, 10:02 PM) Just bought sunglobal battery from Miniraxe, already cloned it but need to Fully charge it tonite before can use... Hi dyn09, do you need to reclone the sunglobal battery at every reboot/battery_pull? I am curious if the sunglobal battery for the 9790 behaves like the one for the 9810 (reclone only if batt is drained) or the 9900 (reclone at every reboot).

QUOTE(hazr_ @ Feb 13 2012, 05:16 PM) I wondering it too.. is there any gps software that can be used like papago or garmin on our 9790? I've heard that nokia e66 got gps reciever and it can run gps service without using the maxis, celcm, digi etc line same like other car gps device. the bold 9790 also got gps reciever,is it possible to use the gps service like that? BB's GPS need BIS to run, if I remember correctly - not sure if there is any offline map+navigation software like GarminXT on S60 phones. Anyway, to save on hassles, I'll probably get myself a standalone GPS device if I really need navigational guidance while driving.

QUOTE(deadgriever @ Feb 16 2012, 10:31 AM) i got a little lag after update to os7.1. already reinstall twice & wipe my OS. still the same. lag when scrolling thru the app at home screen & when slide pictures. not really an issue but i can feel the difference compare to previous 7.0 OS. You experience the lag even right just after installing 7.1 before restoring your apps and data? Weird, I have more than 500 photos in my microSD and sliding/swiping between them is very smooth for me. In fact I feel 7.1 to be speedier than 7.0, overall.

QUOTE(deadgriever @ Feb 16 2012, 10:50 AM) yes, lag even after 7.1 fresh install(before restoring app & data). im currently restore everything now & see how it behave after this. maybe need to wait a bit for new OS to settle down. btw i store around 30-40 pix in internal storage, will it affect the smoothness? i didnt have microsd card for storage right now. I don't know if having microSD (or not) affects the performance of OS7.1.
