That depends on your location.

For me, i usually choose either 2G or 3G. I dont like the 2G&3G function. If you see the 3G logo with a Blackberry logo on your top right corner, means you are connected via 3G, if EDGE = 2G.

Uploading photos with 3G is much faster than EDGE. Probably because of the poor network reception in your area
