About the no display. Try closing and open the lid back again. If the problem is the same as my Acer, it'd be about the magnet at the lid. Something about the polar of the magnet.

Basically the computer thinks that your lid is still off and closing and opening the lid would solve the prob.

Hi,I own Asus G53SW-A1 with new revision certified design sticker.Does any other owner tried to use digital output such as optical using mini 3.5mm to optical converter then to the cable itself?I'm considering to buy mini 3.5mm cable to optical for DAC for my laptop,but not sure if this laptop support it or not.

This sticker is beside the specification sticker.BTW,could the laptop support digital audio output,specifically the optical one?I'm planning to get one to connect it to my av receiver.I hope it has headphone/spdif combo.

DX11 should be built in the OS.

Just update your DirectX when you install any games.

I dont think you need to manually update it as games are mandatory to install DirectX whenever they launch the first time.
