can i ask at here????
guys~can I know where can buy G53sx with best price?
yesterday I go Pc-fair ask for this, but it totally fixed the price...no discount at all...3999...even RM9 oso no discount....==

Lucky me I got mine for RM3989 with free extra wireless mouse. Bought it at PC3 lowyat.
Stuff in pc fair are usually over price and old stock/model. I dont bother buying hardware at that place.

Like i said earlier, that wireless mouse is just an extra item. Of course you will get the gaming mouse, just that in my case i got 2 mouse instead of 1
Lol laugh.gif theres nothing to scared about, its your money. Just ask them if the screen is FHD or just HD. Plus, you can confirm it yourself at the side of the box. It will state the resolution of the screen.
Here in lowyat.net, the cheapest I got offered is RM3850 but you have to booked first. If you cant wait like me, just buy it at the SRP RM3999 in any retailer shop.

@Kalist0
wow nice price but how come you ram upgrades is so freaking expensive? blink.gif

Found a nice simple review about G53SX from techgage. Not exactly the same model in Malaysia but might be useful info for those who are planning to buy this laptop

If you like to game alot, go with G53 cos it doesnt use optimus technology like in n55.
I have a msi GE620DX, it come with GT555M like n55 and from what I experience, sometimes optimus doesnt work properly.

like sometimes u cant change to gt555??

yea, but it still fixable. I have to try a bunch of different driver and turn somethings off. Luckily i dont have this much problem when using G53. So far most of the game i install can straight away play.[QUOTE]

During my early days, i always facing random BSOD with my g53sx. After some testing, it turn out that placing the additional ram on second slot doesnt run well so i took it out and place it at the empty slot under the keyboard. Since then i dont face any problem anymore. So it worth checking the ram first before trying other things

Saw the review about the new g55vw, asus did quite a number of changes on the casing and port. Look more solid then the previous g53. The ram and hdd slot is even easier to access but the only let down i think is the single hdd slot. 1 slot is not enough for heaven sake!
