During my early days, i always facing random BSOD with my g53sx. After some testing, it turn out that placing the additional ram on second slot doesnt run well so i took it out and place it at the empty slot under the keyboard. Since then i dont face any problem anymore. So it worth checking the ram first before trying other things

I have my RAM in the keyboard slot (easiest slot). I'll try and swap the slots to see it it helps.

Hi everyone, I've just bought an Asus g73sw recently.. However it only comes with a 12 month warranty, so should I buy a warranty extension?\

Where can I buy it and how much does it cost?

thanks and any help is appreciated

Oh, I really dont care the size/weight/noise/battery all that cuz its pretty much a desktop replacement. Due to certain circumstances, I can't have a desktop so don't be asking me why not get a desktop question >_>

But I'm looking more of how its the FPS in games Crysis/World of Warcraft/Skyrim. More on like preformance side I'm looking for. And also this will be my 1st Asus so wondering you experts or users would know if they have any issues etc Cuz I've been an Acer user.

it will perform well in games, you'll feel it especially so if previously you were using like the GT540m or similar GC.

Issues with the G74, so far no one report anything, the ones here are usually G53...

playable in 1080p with decent settings for crysis n skyrim (not maxed out)... u can prob max out WoW...

common issues include touchpad sotsot.. keyboard not registering keys...and some others iv forgotten abt... just browse thru asusrog n notebookreview forums to see for urself

u prob dont care abt this, but if i were u , id get the alienware x51 lol... much more powerful and upgradable

with the g74sx, u r stuck witht the same gpu for the rest of ur life...

I've stated due to certain circumstances, I cannot and unable to have a Desktop. If I could I would have, 7 years ago. Instead of going thru laptop after laptop every 2 years. But they were all Acer. Thus I wanted a change of Brand. And I was looking at this particular model so I was asking if anyone know if its good and if there was any known issues.

If I wanted a desktop I wouldn't be in this thread.

did u read my post properly??

i suggest u go read it again

ive alredy told u abt the known issues.. and in game performance

the bit abt the x51, is just something that i felt like saying.. in the front part of the sentence ive even stated that, "u prob dont care abt this" ... which directly implies that im aware of the fact that u r not into desktop..

no need to get all uptight abt this.. after all, ive already answered ur question
