just converted a friend from macbookpro 17" to vx7. i have to tell you when i look at the design of the laptop and the mouse, it was enough for me to regret why i din't pay the RM1000 extra !! hahaha omg SEXINESS. plus the lamborghini bag ... overkill haha.

@dinokun, i'm using the G53jw, and the two buttons is possible to change if you change the script of the ATK package.. so its not that easy.

The Backlit key i think its different, mine is a on/off switch. Physical one, so not dependant on software, i think the G73 one is?

doubleU, the backlit key is also physical, I have 3 physical button one backlit, one for power (high performance/entertainment/quiet office/battery saver) and one for changing the screen colour thing...

i wanna change the screen colour thing button to probably launch my internet explorer

well... google is your friend then. I can't help you there, but it sounds possible to change the other keys to do other stuff

I'm afraid not, it could be either build in bios or programmed in ATK installer.

pretty sure its ATK since if i don't install it, it won't work for me.

hello everyone im new here, currently im using asus g73jh, may i know what the best and most stable graphic driver for this model?coz my catalyst are not working rite now, and im using ati 5870, hope otai2 here can help

Supposively 12.1 Software Suite is the latest from AMD website.
Alternatively, Catalyst Application latest would be 11.12.

i already read a review about that driver and many people say its not stable and many g73jh user got crash during playing bf3 for 20 minutes

I've been using my G53SX for about 1 month now... and I have been facing weird / random system hang with the laptop. Have any of you guys faced this?

It is totally random, can be during gaming, browsing, or simply leaving the laptop on. When it happens the HDD LED is solid / permanently on and I need to do hard reset.

I've googled and tried various fixes, including uninstalling Windows SP1, and I've also uninstalled the ASUS hybrid power thing and have the system defaulting to High Performance. I've tried chkdsk, HDtune pro and don't have any bad sectors or problems with the HDD.

What could be the other things I could try?

It sounded like Bad RAM chip/RAM relevant issue. Tried clean format?

No BSOD. Very weird thing is for eg I'm playing a game, it would seem like someone rewind the game 3-5 seconds and loop it from then on. All sounds / dialogues keep repeating for about 3-5 seconds, can move mouse, no BSOD, before it totally hangs as I attempt to bring up the task manager or Alt Tab.

I have added in an additional 4GB RAM (guy at the shop installed for me) - should I try removing that and see? Although the G53 is a bit of a pain to dismantle..

Haven't tried clean format - as I've set up my PC nicely :'( before all this happen... want to go for it as a last resort.
