DG have it, called Super Long Life, for the latest version of Best plan. RM30 for one year, and you need a minimum balance of RM35 for it to show on the *128# menu under Talktime Services.

yeah, from my own bad experience few years back, the options are

mini top up,

talktime transfer in, or

talktime advance

that reactivates your account without enough credit for the renewal, then you can cancel the subscription

or else just port out to other telco to teach DG a lesson

Yes, and you can top up more credit over the one year period if you need it.

from my experience of changing dg prepaid plan a few times, normally your current expiry date will be maintained.

The basic call rate is actually about the same between Best v4 and New Best v1, at least once you call for a few minutes.

Old Best was initially marketed as cheap for short calls, but if you look at 30 second call as an example:

New Best v1 = 10 sen

Easy/Smart = 15 sen

Old Best v4 = 26 sen

I updated from Easy v1 to Smart. Nothing bad happened. If there's a catch, DG people are still busy inventing it.

Credit and validity should be carried over.

Yeah, I let go of my FnF numbers.

Smart have free slow internet while active.

And the Buddys call/sms limit is 3000mins/sms per month, which is 3x more than later versions of Easy (v1 I dunno, maybe it's still theoretically unlimited?).

Free IDD calls only to 10 Asian countries like Bangladesh, Myanmar, etc.

I usually ignore those offers from DG, though the current free 1.2GB data with top up is a good one.

Yeah it's open ended at the moment. Sometimes these DG promotion become permanent feature of the plan. We'll see.
