Seriously? You seriously recommending wendlers programme and asking her not to take protein?

Explain your bullshit.

Good read. But that girl is doing paleo diet, and you're recommending not to take protein after workouts.

And wendlers although is a good routine I hardly think any beginner should shoot for their 1RM's.

Beginners shouldn't attempt Wendlers imo. 5/3/1 weights are calculated based on percentages, and when you are starting out, the differences are miniscule. Starting Strength would be better.

This is getting really confusing! Lol. I'm eating moderately now 4-5 meals a day. Mostly on wholegrain/oat Bread with eggs, Plus skim milk n low fat yogurt. I take rice once in awhile. Not much. Managed to work on my shoulders& chest with 9kg weight now. smile.gif I've added burpees into my cardio training. Drink protein twice a day. Just bought two tubs of VPX whey protein today. Haha. I think protein helps me in many ways. I've gained weight btw, not that im getting fatter. But I think I'm building more muscles, thus the increase.

I don't think I'm fat just a little flabby on my arms and thighs. I've got a baby tummy too. But it's going away. Been working out for 34-35 days now. I'm taking protein now.

I work on my arms twice a week, thighs(most squatting&stretching 2-3times a week, cardio (skipping, walking up&down the stairs 20x's) & hula-hooping every single day, and tummy every alternative days.

My baby tummy is going down. My curves are more obvious now. Is it normal if ur tummy doesn't go down even after working out for a month? I'm sure it takes months of
Months of time to get rid of it completely right?

I asked my guy fren who works out and etc. he told me protein is suitable for everyone. It isn't gender bias.

I guess Asian girls are just paranoid of lifting even just a little bit of weights right? That's d main reason why we seldom
See Asian girls with toned up body.

:/

SORRY PEPS, DIDN'T REALISE MY TYPO. SUPPOSED TO BE 6 TIMES A WEEK. OMG.  doh.gif LOL -___-

I'm commenting based on my personal opinion....taking protein makes it as a replacement for ur lunch and also dinner if possible...well u cud lift weights(5LBs) and get urself a yoga mat for toning...taking proteins doesn't actually make u muscular...it ain't easy to gain muscles like those fitness models...well u cud look up on Mike Chang's workout where there is this workout known as the After Burn Effect...which allows ur body to burn fats even though ur not working out...and yea having a proper meal planned is of course VERY important...in fact it is the most important part...u cud have copies of proper meals online...and skip all the fatty foods such s MCDs and KFC...I'm roti canai and carbonated drinks free for 2 years now...hope this helps you

Okay! Noted. One more thing, should I work on one part per day or work on chest, arms and shoulders all in a day? Full body workout works best or part by part? Nt wanting to be bulky. I only want nice curves.. Haha

If you are eating enough protein, you don't really have to drink it twice a day. Calculate it based on your body weight. Espcially for girls, if say 1g x 120lbs = 120g protein. Achievable by eating 2 chicken breasts plus 2 eggs.

You won't be bulky unless u start injecting testoterone into your body. I think the guys here are doing 2 parts per day. I split to only upper body and lower body. I see that you only focus on upper body. What do you do for your lower body?

I meant upper body and lower body weight training. I think one of the reg here recommended a site in this thread. Perhaps you could browse through it to get an idea or the stickies in this forum. Try to read and understand.
Mind listing down what you actually do for your training? Ie. What training? sets? reps?

dont think 2 chicken breast and eggs = 120g. far from it in fact. yes most of us here are doing 2-a-days. you can only train one per day if you're training 5 days or more a week.

That's far from easy.

Scroll down and take a look at the women, they all lift weights, eat more than some guys even do but they aren't, as you would call it 'bulky'. But they have physiques most girls would die for. Oh and their routines and diets are in the link for your reference as well.

try 2 body parts a day for starters. if you're not sure how to do a full body routine you better not.

http://nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/07/21/mee...ing-super-hero/

read that btw, pepper posted it. that girl could deadlift 315lbs (3 45lbs plates per side) and look at her progress pic. no where near bulky i would say. quit worrying.

They're useful for when you really can't get to the gym. (like if it happens to close a lot, like mine doh.gif ) I have the green one from Fitness Concept and you can get a decent workout depending on how you use it.

some advice from the chick that does 5/3/1 from some messageboard given to someone's gf who's afraid that she might turn into a she-hulk
