QUOTE(mellowling @ Nov 27 2011, 11:21 PM) no it wasn't a typo.. i work out 6 times a day and it has been a month now. lol. not joking. i kinda got the determination after a heart break to work out consistently. A little sad but working out makes me healthier and it boost up my confidence even more. That's why i chose to take protein now.. Will work out hard for at least 3 months. Then i'll maintain to 3 times per week. haha. It's not wrong to work out 6x's a week right? Added on November 27, 2011, 11:24 pmI weighed around 50-51kg. Height: 156cm. tat's quite short, so im really determined to get ride of those flabs areas. U tend to look shorter when u're bigger. A theory i've came out with. lol i think its overkill. you're better off doing more intense workouts once a day, and as many days in a week as you can manage.

QUOTE(mellowling @ Nov 28 2011, 01:19 AM) Currently using these 3 videos to carry out my work out routine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYMw1K_vEd4...=watch_response (thighs) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6ZTzUEtPTI&feature=relmfu (abs) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihok8WJnVd4&feature=fvwrel (arms) I will focus on other parts and lift more weights after 3 months. Shall work on basic first ya? bodyrock.tv. forget the videos you're watching now, and follow that website and come back and tell me you can do it 6 times a day.

its funny when a girl has a blur moment we all laugh it off when a guy does that here....oh boy lol. anyways, 6 days a week isnt so bad, if you keep your workouts short its a pretty good thing to do. the advice given, other than you're doing too much is pretty much still valid, so good luck in your progress!

QUOTE(tamago11 @ Nov 28 2011, 03:10 AM) Hey girl.. I have almost the same weight and height as u. Been working out since last month and cut dw my dinner and supper. I used to work out in gym and drink protein but I realized I m building up muscles thus I stop all those strenuous weight lifting. What I have done for this month is: 1) went for early jog at 5am around 4km 2) went for dance class everyday if possible 3) pingpong or badminton training twice a week 4) swim occasionally and I lost 3kg in this month!!!! wow really? you visually had too much muscles? how long were you doing weights anyways?

QUOTE(ennyong1985 @ Dec 1 2011, 09:01 PM) TS personally I workout 7 days a week with 4-5 hrs badminton, 2 hrs basketball and at least 2 hrs of swimming if I have the time. I can tell u it helps. The idea is to be consistent and don't over work. Working with low weights and high reps helps. And ensure u work the same position 3 times a week. I was also in the same position of heart break and worked out. It's great to churn that kind of energy. But I don't take protein. Cuz I feel I don't need it. I try to take proper meals and fruits (small portion) 5 times a day. Anyways keep it up! BODYBUILDING section. if you dont lift weights dont give advice. QUOTE(stargamer @ Dec 1 2011, 09:03 PM) and you go drill yourself where the sun dont shine

QUOTE(darklight79 @ Dec 1 2011, 11:16 PM) This section has got to be as strict as some of the other serious sections. It's time H & F evolve into something a lot more serious. well regs dont really take BS lightly here i suppose. what news of the new mod?

You seriously recommending wendlers programme and asking her not to take protein? Explain your bullshit.

QUOTE(Pepper @ Dec 6 2011, 09:03 AM) Good read. But that girl is doing paleo diet, and you're recommending not to take protein after workouts. And wendlers although is a good routine I hardly think any beginner should shoot for their 1RM's.

QUOTE(chastise @ Dec 6 2011, 05:00 PM) If you are eating enough protein, you don't really have to drink it twice a day. Calculate it based on your body weight. Espcially for girls, if say 1g x 120lbs = 120g protein. Achievable by eating 2 chicken breasts plus 2 eggs. Added on December 6, 2011, 5:03 pmYou won't be bulky unless u start injecting testoterone into your body. I think the guys here are doing 2 parts per day. I split to only upper body and lower body. I see that you only focus on upper body. What do you do for your lower body? dont think 2 chicken breast and eggs = 120g. far from it in fact. yes most of us here are doing 2-a-days. you can only train one per day if you're training 5 days or more a week.

QUOTE(MrBuBu @ Dec 6 2011, 04:16 PM) I'm commenting based on my personal opinion....taking protein makes it as a replacement for ur lunch and also dinner if possible...well u cud lift weights(5LBs) and get urself a yoga mat for toning...taking proteins doesn't actually make u muscular...it ain't easy to gain muscles like those fitness models...well u cud look up on Mike Chang's workout where there is this workout known as the After Burn Effect...which allows ur body to burn fats even though ur not working out...and yea having a proper meal planned is of course VERY important...in fact it is the most important part...u cud have copies of proper meals online...and skip all the fatty foods such s MCDs and KFC...I'm roti canai and carbonated drinks free for 2 years now...hope this helps you do NOT take protein as replacement meals. solid food all the way. and define toning? 5lbs db's arent gonna do jack, no matter how you swing it. QUOTE(mellowling @ Dec 6 2011, 04:47 PM) Okay! Noted. One more thing, should I work on one part per day or work on chest, arms and shoulders all in a day? Full body workout works best or part by part? Nt wanting to be bulky. I only want nice curves.. Haha try 2 body parts a day for starters. if you're not sure how to do a full body routine you better not. http://nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/07/21/mee...ing-super-hero/read that btw, pepper posted it. that girl could deadlift 315lbs (3 45lbs plates per side) and look at her progress pic. no where near bulky i would say. quit worrying.
