if you are not bound to get phone from umobile , you are not under contract ( should be the same for umobile )

like mine , i didnt have any contract with digi even thou i using smart plan 48 . i can change anytime i want .

the prepaid has better rate on call /sms ( 500mb )
postpaid have bigger quota . ( 1gb ) , and more costly rate for sms and call

up to you to decide.

I heard the cap will be 64kbps (not kByte, but kbit). Basically, nothing you can do with it, other than just messaging.

There is NO contract for U mobile's postpaid. You can terminate any time you want, bill will be calculated based on pro-rated figure.
*
Thanks for your replies. So as long as I don't buy the phone, I can terminate whenever I want. Understood xD

@Harddisk I saw that too, but some time the "real life" experience of throttling can be a different scenario. And maybe it isn't as bad as Telco X's speeds once your throttled although both may have the same "theoretical" throttled speeds

Process is, make sure your current line is not tied to any contract, then just go over to the new carrier's counter and tell them you wanna do an MNP. That's all.

Do call the bank to update them on your MNP as some banks don't send SMS to non original carrier's phone prefix, if you get what I mean. smile.gif

Nothing else to discuss while waiting for the phone to officially hit our market.  blush.gif

I don't get what this means.... I currently use Maxis Prepaid, so yea...... I don't pay bills as of yet.

Only good for U mobile users, as Maxis is not using U mobile's data coverage. It's like a 1-way deal. biggrin.gif

Not only messaging, you can still browsing without problem except streaming videos. I always use above the 500MB quota yet i can post in LYN forum until at the end of the month. No sweats. :-))

I'm not sure if i'm allowed to ask this question..

Is Galaxy Nexus better than SGS2? Hard time to decide whether to wait or just get the SGS2 as SGS2 will also get the ICS update?

Read "What makes the Nexus special?" in the FAQ here: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=47004231

Its explained so well there, that I don't see further reason to comment on it.

If you want a pure vanilla Android without any topping plus the first to get any updates then Nexus is for you.
If you like flashing tons of custom roms and also like to wait for updates (ICS + Touchwiz) then it's SGSII for you.
But certain features in Nexus wont be available to SGSII altough it using the same firmware (ICS)

In Korea, Galaxy Nexus owners are getting some extra goodies. They have thrown in additional extended battery which is quite similar to Samsung Galaxy S II Extended Battery Kit. This gives a total of 2 battery and 2 back covers off the shelf.

The extended battery has a capacity of 2000mAh, which is a slight 15% extra over its original 1750mAh battery. That extra life of battery comes with a slight bulk which they have provided a new back cover to support it.

Galaxy Nexus owner in Korea can get this extended batteries, hope when arrive in malaysia we also can buy this battery pack rclxms.gif biggrin.gif

Cause you are willing to pay double the price for GNex?

If I got spare cash, I'll go for SGS2 to replace my SGS. Then get GNex to make it my primary phone while SGS2 make it a secondary. Good for snapping photos. tongue.gif
