She's my production manager and I, the sell manager.... when you get use to it like she does, you are dammed good and fast and my only regret that I make lousy sellman.

haha ok .. so the moral of the story is get a good spouse ! I better go find me one ASAP!

Moral of the story,

1. U got to be diligent and patient in cleaning the nest, if you cannot do it, let your spouse do it
2. If your wife becomes good production manager, you better be a good salesman.. otherwise it will be wasted.
3. price now is good and you can make good honest money by processing and selling cleaned EBN
4. Lastly.. if you spouse is not good at it.. you got to find your mistress to do it for you hhhaaa...

Everything up except Birdnest. Maybe, for those who have not much of nests, cut your losses and quit cos rental also naik. Convert your BH to budget hotel or just rent it out; better income, less problem, no maintenance and heart attack maybe.

As long as they don't allow free market flow of fresh EBN, our EBN cannot go up. With restriction here and there, only those with alot of EBN can survive the storm.

Even the federal Dato President is organizing EBN auction but to make profit on poor farmers. Entrance isn't free and all transaction will be charge 1%. Transaction charge may justify the cost of holding the auction but why entrance fee? If invited buyers do really give good and fair price to EBN farmers, I believe most farmers don't mind paying the 1% commission for the transaction.

3 companies from Indonesia can export legally bird nest to China. Either one of them (i guess), easily double the size of the whole processor in malaysia (added up). Now price for CIF china is US$2000/kg.

well if indonesian company got green light, and malaysian companies still minum teh tarik at mamaks... us small frys ... can just use our nest to beatify our skin youthfully

Like our Past PM , Dr. M who has the biggest mouth of all; small country PM but can talk so big like the President of USA.

Malaysia acted like we are the biggest producer of EBN but we only produce 20% and we want to control the world"s EBN market.
IF Malaysian Authorities allow free market for EBN then, we wouldn't be facing these difficulties now and what China know today are really told by us and now the Chinese are smarter and demand more by taxing and make more requirements for EBN export to China.

Even now Indo EBN are allow in to China, I believe that the damages are done, thanks to Malaysian smart ALeks. Now, all suffer and only the exporters and China Authorities gain.

It's may take more years for the market to pick up as consumers in China were without EBN for many years and they must have forgotten about the goodness of birdnests. I truly hope that I maybe wrong in my forecast of the EBN situation as I am also one of the sufferers.

These Chinamen do know about processed(cleaned) and unprocessed nests. Processed nest mean cleaned nest so the PPM shall drop to a respected % unless baked in shit or other while the unprocessed nest, their PPM are high but will be greatly reduce during cleaning so the PPM standard shouldn't apply to natural nests. We shall let China clean the nest to their requirements and standard as our EBN ppm shall drop as more cleaning done and that cleaned nest from other countries like Malaysia and Indo which normally send the nest in small percentage water to prevent damage, PPM will increase if these nests are kept too long, too warm, not properly cleaned or contain chemical or dirty still present in the EBN.

I strongly support in the present situation that we should allow China to process their own nests to their own specifications and standards rather than we try to meet their standards and specifications. We can meet all requirements as in the case of totally cleaned 100% nests like in the cake form where the nest shall be able to maintain their freshness for a long time even year but not the present way of sending not 100% dry nests but still contain some % of small feathers and dirt.

Unless that now, the producers here send their nest to China in 100% dried condition and properly cleaned, then there is no way to meet 100% Standard and Requirement.

Clearly shows that the President of the Association and the committee selected all this while has not been protecting the farmers/ranchers..the conducts and the way it is said, clearly indicates that they are protecting the merchants...

The EBN Association does not protect you, now the Law does not protect you either.

Do you know that how difficult to catch a thief stealing your EBN but do you know how fast the Police release them....some in just a few hours.

Even the Court does not protect you cos we caught a pair of thieves and the police took them to the Police station. To ensure that the Police take action, 20 of birdhouse owners went to Police station to identified them and only to have released on bail later by their buyer.

The Court fined the thieves only Rm800 per person only for stealing from more than 10 BHs with EBN over 20K at least. So, my advice to those wanting to start doing BH, don't cos why build when you can just take (steal) from the best BH and in case you got caught, pay the fine only and no jail sentence. what is Rm800 fine compare to Rm30K of EBN.

We shall be expecting the 2 thieves soon after their rest as their fine was paid by their buyer and need to be reimbursed.

Police nowaday are more concerned and interested with issue summons to number plates and dark glass.

Police are sometimes good but most of the time not good enough. If we condemn too much, they might haul us up.
