hi ojtee,

i already test with liveview and thru viewfinder..
change the iso from 100 - hi and change NR settings..
i also did update the firmware myself but didn't solve it.

maybe i should just send to hq and ask for replacement.
is it easy to get a replacement??..has anyone tried before??..

You have to claim warranty, your D7000 so new and having such issue. Most likely faulty sensor from the looks of it.

guys... am looking for an all rounder lens... 18-200mm or 18-250~270mm...
which would you recommend?

i had 2 frens that are using 18-200mm from nikkor but they both had problems with it so, if for 18-200mm, i'll give nikkor a skip...

i'm on D60 and will need motorized lens and preferred wif VR... i'm actually looking at sigma or tamron. which wud be a better stand?

thank you...

nikkor 18-200 problem? i tot for 18-200 range, nikkor lens is the best u can get. if u r talking about lens creep, they should hv fixed it in VRII. i would still suggest nikkor 18-200, bcoz my frens using it are very happy. i'm pretty happy with the mechanics/optics too. *slight distortion at the wide angle but that's fine for me

i dont think it make sense to compare the D800 and D4 lah.
if you do fast action photographs and prefer to take photographs without a tripod at night, then the D4 is obviously your choice of camera.
but if you do commercial or landscape or fine art photography, D4 is not the camera for you.

therefore, even if both cameras are priced at the same price range, it do not make sense to say i will get D4 because it's a flagship model whereas the D800 is not.

problem on tamron/sigma i'm not sure but both of my frens told me that their zooms will loose down by itself it he the lengs is pointed downwards. besides that, they also said focusing got problem... I dono as me myself never use the lens before. Cannot be so coincidence both having the same problem rite...

That's why opting for third party lens lor... moreover also it's a cheaper option... just that would like to know the experience on tamron/sigma lens on nikon body...

That is normal for lenses such as 18-200 due to the weight. That's why those lens usually comes with a lock to avoid lens extending when being stored.

Any multi purpose lens, 18-200 type will have this issue.

Using a D7000 with Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 non-VC.

Is it redundant to get the Nikon 50mm f/1.8D lens ?

In what situation would the 50mm f/1.8 be better than the 17-50mm @ 50mm f/2.8 ??

when shooting at night, when shooting portraits, when shooting products at 2.8 because it's sharper than the Tamron

d5100 body only =1900-2100
35mm f/1.8G = 850-950
filter 52mm = 75-150

im guessing you didn't survey the prices before you bought it, unless there's something else in the package you bought you didn't mention, i'd say the it's really expensive

Wow, RM250 filter. I googled and found it here,

http://www.lenstip.com/120.6-article-UV_fi...Slim_72_mm.html

This is one heck of crappy filter and should never be put on your lens ._.

But then again, yours might be a higher end model perhaps. And well, most shops are known to chop in the filter area. Previously my friend wanted to buy D7000+kit at RM3850, and they said you need to pay for a Hoya HMC 67mm at RM220! If not cannot buy lol.
