sifoos ... can someone guide me on flash settings i mean ppl always use f-stop numbers to mention about light power. For example :
Does it mean f/5.6 light versus f/8 light, the f/8 is higher power?

I have Nissin Di622MII (TTL) and YN-560 (non-TTL). how to set up both of them for proper lighting?
*i have Sekonic light meter too. I measured with it and the f/8 gives more power. Correct right?

So how do you normally setup for the lightings? which one shud be higher power or lower power (foreground, background, fill light, etc)
thanks.

BTW, I use Eneloop Harmolattice 2500mAh too. it's awesome. I think it charges my flash faster between exposures. I'm happy. It lasts long too

I straight away play with flash without knowing much about zooms on flash. I simply control the flash power only so far....or use TTL lor. tongue.gif

Maybe I don't really need macro to take pictures like insect's eyes,etc..
I think the 35mm is more suitable for me because I ususally take some family shots, landscapes and close ups
How does the 35mm f/1.8 perform in image quality compared to the 50mm f/1.8?
*
For the price, i can say it is the cheapest & sharpest DX lens smile.gif. However, compared to the 50mm 1.8G, the 50mm is a tad bit sharper and gives better bokeh-ness. rclxms.gif
35mm 1.8G samples here :

So it's better a bit in terms of sharpness and bokeh...
But the 35mm can fit more things than the 50mm,right?
*
Yeah. I feel 35mm is just nice for dx if u want to use indoors (even outdoors). Some may feel a bit tight when using 50mm indoors, that's up to the user's preference or situation. Try it out urself on ur kitlens if u hv. Dial to 35mm and 50mm, see whichever is nicer for ur preference.

35mm on dx=52.5mm
50mm on dx=75mm

nikkor 18-200 problem? i tot for 18-200 range, nikkor lens is the best u can get. if u r talking about lens creep, they should hv fixed it in VRII. i would still suggest nikkor 18-200, bcoz my frens using it are very happy. i'm pretty happy with the mechanics/optics too. *slight distortion at the wide angle but that's fine for me

I wanna send my 16-85 lens for repair. The lens zoom barrel is a bit sticky. So I should drop by BTS? Are they open tomorrow on Christmas?

Guys, i love take pics and been thinking to buy one since years back. I always been gsc and saw nikon ads. Kinda interested in D3100 or D5100. Anyone would really guide me on this? I know its silly as u guys might think that i like nikon by their ads but, its not..

tell us ur budget, and we'll recommend what's best for u (nikon/canon) tongue.gif
D3100 is fine ..but if u have the budget, D5100 is even better. U'll appreciate the excellent sensor inside!
