Care to share your buying experience? Price can nego?
*
Well..at first abit worried as its online. However, since they Malaysian, they can do COD, can always have a look at the watch and decide.

Price wise usually firm since they are discounted. May get some further discount but its usually very small amount.

Overall, great experiance. But there are others which are giving a great bargain outthere..saw a brand new IWC 5001 somewhere in KL selling for 28.5k....my grail..but no $$$ currently. sad.gif

Guys,

Planning to get Tag Heuer Carrera - CV2A10.BA0796

Between London & Paris which 2 shld i get it cheaper?
*
As far as I know..London's prices tend to be higher than Paris. I saw a Bell and Ross at lafayette selling 1600 euro (before tax refund) whereas the same watch in Malaysia was quoted RM7.2k after discount. Also, the shop assistant in Paris mentioned to me that in Europe, watches in Paris are the cheapest (dunno true or not la..maybe just want to hard sell me kua) hahaha

I see. Thanks bro for the info.

Normally, how much discount can I get? From my survey, I managed to get 10-20% only for Tag Heuer watches .. Seems just a normal deal where can get the same discount every where.

you might want to hang on for a while on the Tag F-1 series....think they coming out with some bold and radical designs...if you like them...

but price may be higher....

Any recommendations on a round leather watch? Nothing too expensive. Maybe below rm500 and if possible with roman numerals ? tongue.gif

Added on February 20, 2012, 11:45 pmOr maybe a pilot watch ? biggrin.gif

Right...but plenty of spare cash is essential. The good thing with luxury watches are ..you can always flip it later on. If yo buy a Rolex, you wont lose much when you sell it later on..treat it like leasing the watch lo... smile.gif

I didn't mention anything about sacrifice. I was saying, "those who don't NEED to own a car and a house". these ppl probably already inherited, at least, a house and a car. And you are right, everyone has their priorities.

any JLC is good and commands respect in the horology world...a house with great tradition, finely built pieces and solid in house movements.

I was toying with the idea of getting a used JLC Dualmatic (discontinued model) for a few months last year...alas it was sold in December..and for a mere 6k SGD i missed out on owning a beautiful master compressor sports watch which is likely to become a collectors item sad.gif

From then on i knew NEVER to wait till later in this watch collecting hobby, so i took a deep breath, swiped my plastic for a SS daytona and never looked back... i still think of that dualmatic however...
