Hi all,
Belated Merry Christmas to all and hope all is well. Back from Melbourne for a short period and am planning to buy a dinner watch (e.g. Frederique Constant Classics or Persuasion line, Hamilton Jazzmaster, Tissot Le Locle, Mido Baroncelli, Louis Erard) and am not sure which shop have an extensive range to look. I have searched and these are the only good shops worth looking: 1. After Hours Sdn. Bhd at Lot No. GF-98, Queensbay Mall 2. Tatt Ming Watch Company at Penang Road 3. Bright Watch & Optical Trading Co at Komtar 4. Tong Eng Watch at Komtar 5. Watchshoppe at Gurney Could anybody else recommend me where else to go to shop? Very interested in checking out the Frederique Constant and Louis Erard range of watches. Thanks! Justin This post has been edited by Xtrivia: Dec 28 2011, 01:35 PM |

Any orient star retrograde owners here? My buckle is very difficult to fix. Not sure if it's my watch problem or it is common among this model....

Guys, is it true that we shouldn't adjusted our automatic watches at between the time of 9pm - 4am? Kinda worried that I may damage my watch cause I adjusted my watch last night.

QUOTE(spicediablo @ Dec 30 2011, 08:31 AM) As the date mechanism is at work during that time period, it is best to let it do it's thing by itself instead of manually adjusting the date. You can do it if the time is 12 noon, but as there's usually no way of telling whether the time is 12AM or PM on an analog watch, best to play it safe and just avoid tinkering with the date mechanism during this period. If you must, forward the time past this time window (I normally go past 4) and then adjust the date. |

QUOTE(spicediablo @ Dec 30 2011, 10:14 AM) ^ So basically, I have to change the time to 4 then change the date then change it back to correct time... That's one way of putting it. I will normally put the date to 1 day before, then adjust the time forward to the correct date. That way, there'll be no AM/PM confusion.Of course these days, I don't bother with the date complication anymore... |
