Hey chino, where can I get those straps? I currently using pam320. Do I need to find strap that compatible to pam320 or any panerai strap may do?
*
You can order them online directly from the strap manufacturer.

Most PAM's are 24mm lug width, so any strap with that width will work on your Panerai.

Your Radiomir didn't come with the 4mm strap change tool???
Can you show me a picture of your watch box? I will show you where the tool is if you show me a picture of the box.

It's good to see a fellow Zenith fan,
We have similar taste... I would love the striking 10th but I am more into this at the moment for the more vintage look case.

It's also abit more affordable compared to the striking 10th.

At the moment, I would have to make do with this... hehe

*
that's a nice piece, how much you snag it for?
i prefer round case rather than the vintage look case.

QUOTE(patryn33 @ Jan 1 2012, 07:00 AM)
I thought U're thinking of a preown Rolex Sub? Vintage pieces such as Red Sub are not cheap either.
vintage watches are great but they do cost a bit to maintain.. buy a 30-50yr old Rolex and still have to throw ~2K into servicing (oiling movement, changing all the gaskets.. no relume). the cost of Unique is expensive.

I read about a 1 man brand - Bernhard Zwinz.
only 11 pieces will be made, it comes with a price tag of 240,000 Francs or RM$810,150!

wanted something not so limited. try Roger Smith. his annual production is 10 pieces a yr.
Series 2 is priced at gbp$35K or rm$172,100.

Dornblueth & Sohn production also low at 120 pieces a yr.

that Bernhard Zwinz is sweet! those prices are not something I can swallow, so back to hunting vintages for me!

the more I read about Zenith the more I love it. The El Primero, all the awards and acclaims they've won, the rich history.. and seems that the brand gets the nod from most WIS. hmm. A386 yum yum.

Strange, I've never seen a Radiomir case without the strap change tool.
Anyways, it's no big deal - there are four screws in the back, towards the corners of the case. Use a 4mm "Phillips head" screwdriver to loosen them (they do not need to be removed and they are hard to replace if lost, so try not to lose them).

The bar that holds the strap in place is actually made of two pieces, that separate once the screws are loosened and you remove the piece from the case.

Sifus, would like to know if we wear a mechanical watch normally, will it get over-wound? My retrograde orient star winds up to max real fast and stays there. Sorry for the noob question...smile.gif

normally no. there's some sort of a pivot or a mechanism to disconnect the rotor's movement to wind the barrel more than its full cap.

*read it off some seiko article. not sure it applies to all mechs. tongue.gif
