parry33,

Looks really good. But it seems from their website that they do not offer these mesh, have to buy aftermarket.

Sorry for the ignorance. Just checked 1st page. So many small sizes and I thought i was the only one looking for small size mechanical watch. Very hard to find small sizes,I went to Subang Parade and couldn't find any small sizes mechanical watch, all small sizes were quartz....

Here are my requirements:
1)Case size <39mm
2)has subdials i.e month or day or date
3)has day and date(either subdials or indicators)
4)metal bracelet.

I would say right now orient star retrogade fulfils my requirement. Stowa lacking subdials but still good looking albeit the waiting period. I would love to have more choices. Perhaps sifus here will be kind enough to list down some. Thanks!!

Thanks for all the feedbacks. Now the only question, can I wait till March?..hehe. Has the waiting list (3 months)been this long all the time? Or only lately due to high demand?

Patryn33, if you own antea 390, I would love to look and touch..hehe

QUOTE(patryn33 @ Dec 22 2011, 01:05 PM)
the demand has been always high. their production level is small at few hundred a yr.
Jorg is a jeweler at heart so quality is good
U can always track down ppl that own it to let u touch and feel/

@ those eppl comfortable buying online, maybe can start biz buying such brands and selling it to ppl charging $500-1000 for fees. I wonder will these ppl pay the extra $$. Then again, they may try and say no buy and return to buy online!
what is reputable?
ppl buying it without issues? yes.

CW uses regular mail, that is why it only cost gbp$12, if U pay gbp$50 it is express with tracking

how much is shipping for steinhart? EUR$15?

when did U get it, U must know inflation right?
ETA increase their price, cost of metal also increase they have to pass the cost to someone.

Just got my first mechanical, an orient star retrograde. Great quality watch. Only having a little trouble fixing the clasp when i wear the watch. Need to apply quite a lot of force to 'lock' it in. Perhaps it's still new? Thanks for all who gave advise!!

Thanks bro. I am a new user of mechanical watch but I found this watch to have good build quality, it feels heavy and well built and I would think it would cost more if it came from Swiss. Movement was quite smooth as well. Engine beating at 21600 bph which is quite respectable. Another thing I noticed is that this watch wound up fast. A few hours of wear with moderate walking and my power reserve went from 10 to 40 hours(max). Here are some shots...

Got it for RM1600++. Great value for money. I don't think you can get other brands with this build quality at this price...

Nice!! What was the damage? It's aquaracer series right?

On another note, I am currently looking at Stowa antea 390 day date. Concerning the metal bracelet,I'm not really sure if it's suitable for everyday wear. Looks like a dress watch with the metal bracelet. Any comments?

QUOTE(patryn33 @ Dec 25 2011, 09:26 PM)
like that design? sorry no.. just buy LV. they are not really fashion watches.. some of their watches use Dubois Dépraz manufacture.
not your cheap fashion watches, these chrono starts like EUR$5K

That's great!! I just hope I can get the high tech straps locally here in Malaysia. Is it easy to change the shop? can it be DIY-ed?

QUOTE(patryn33 @ Dec 25 2011, 09:45 PM)
certainly! U just need to buy strap that is 20mm.

stowa is nice, lug size are even sizes, get major bands and some make odd lug sizes. Hard to find 3rd party band.
