3.8k is really too lowballing bro rclxub.gif
I think RM5k is more reasonable for such specs haha

btw, anybody getting XSPC Raystorm from ezzy?
this is the best CPU block atm, at cheaper price than competitors.

there must be a reason why EK introduces the new jetplate.
it should give a slightly improvement over the existing plates

I saw raystorm review from a china site, the person says the hold down is a thin metal and mostly acrylic and it wasnt worth the money. The internal flow cut was also subpar. Heres a pic of it.

it may fit but need mod also. coz u can fit the 360 at the top. and the 240 will be tight at the bottom and blocked by psu. u may put it in the drive bay.

how far r u targeting for your 2600k ?
sandy bridge with 360 is more than adequate i think .
definitely can reach 5ghz i think .
even on air with the CM Hyper212+ could reach 4.6ghz .

that 240 will do the job just fine for your GC .
unless u plan to go for SLI, then probably you'd want to use 360

just my 2 cents

that shud be enough but if u want more cooling doesnt mean u have to add more rad.. just get the thicker type rads like XSPC RX series.

depends on how many blocks & components to be put inside the casing, but full aluminum case won't be that heavy as long as there are casters to move it smoothly.

ok i've ordered the Koolance as when i looked closely again the G1/4 holes on the PCH block are separated farther to each other than the EK block.
as mentioned by bro pennykia now the headache to expect is how I'm going to route the tubing from twin ram blocks lol

I wanna to highlight it to you, I have sent a personal PM to you dated on 25th November to seek you understanding in delaying for the prizes!! The other 2 winners are patient enough and they understand this matter well.

The GSKILL memory are already here and waiting for the motherboards.

You simply do not know what is going on and I do seek your understanding for this matter!

I'm not going to hold up the prizes. I will just send it out once I receive all rather than send in 2 times.

We have work hard enough to organise the event and looking for sponsors to sponsored the prizes as a reward to you guys. We DON"T get pay a single cent to organise this!

Perhaps it is time to stop all this online competition in Malaysia to avoid all this hassle and troubles.

I think if the TS updated the thread with something like " sublimation close" or "what will happening next" or " Busy currently, will update accordingly next weeks" will be a nicer way. just maybe there is no person to monitor and frequently update the submission tread, so this kind of problem can be aware next time, i hope it will be more competition like this in future.. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

reply by Koolance regarding the absent part

QUOTE
We've had some questions on the other stock heat sink near the I/O ports, but that area doesn't make contact with any components. It's strictly for the heat pipe, so there's no 3rd block necessary. Materials are copper, brass, acetal, & nickel plating. Finishing on the top nozzle area is a little swirly IMO, but it will be better in the next batch.

the original stock heatsink at the IO area do not make actual contact with the chipset underneath, it was made for aesthetic purpose, thus the saying "nothing to cool there", u can google for photos showing that hallow part. rclxms.gif

The TEC block is actually for my SB 1155 rig
But sadly it arrives me slower than expected huhu...
What to do hv to keep it for the upcoming Ivy next year lol

Will get the x79 rig running again soon. Now opened up for cleaning. Stock heatsink for sb chipset is 41c at ambient 33c. But will go up to 60c on load. this Koolance block should help in reducing temp.

i can see a lil bit curve/bend there. i think it is caused by the upper tubing being too long. it pushes the card downwards

irie, either your GC or PCIE slot is not aligned correctly with your casing expansion hole.
Might be due to case & GC IO plate becomes thicker after the paint job. I prefer using EK Geforce 1-slot IO plate to minimize this issue. But I believe the bent PCB doesn't affect performance of the card anyways.

need about 2 to 3mm clearance for xtender
so it s no go too
different screws are used
ekwb screw is bigger than the stock screw
owh screw it
i mod the backplate edy so it can fit rotary but for the screw i cant do anything
what i did was i 'screwed' the backplate
now i need a new one hahaha

i saw you are using the same kind of radiator with me except longer and thicker. do u think a fan with low speed or high speed is needed for this type of rad? or rather higher cfm?

very good tutorial, but the thing is im using a xspc pump and res combo which is located in the higher position, water don't flow down. btw what's your evga 570 part number? planning to buy the koolance vid580 block too, but some ppl have issues with the block didn't have contact with the gpu itself.

I heard the best is to use T fitting. Just make sure you plug another hole using cap. icon_rolleyes.gif

No more PITA using this simple method.

i bought it in a kit. here's the link http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12222/ex..._HOT.html#blank they are decent, great for starters except the fans are loud and need stronger pumps for more complex loops.

yes i agree but we all know that water can be cool to until a certain point only (base on ambient). if u put a series of many rads toghether it can only be cool to a certain point. but if u put rad in between block. u will get better temp. well correct me if i am wrong...

try EK H30 kit

im first time user and what can i said is it is not that hard to setup a WC for ur system
the most important thing is know how to do it
there a lot of pro inside here and outside there
u can ask them for a guide
previously i had a prob to bleed the air bubble which stuck inside my rad
one of the APES's staff give me a call and guide me on how to bleed faster
i took me few hours only to fully bleed the system.

How is it promoting when a forumer asked about the price and we simply answered it? Are you suggesting that dealers are not allowed to provide suggestions and answers questions? When forumers specifically address us for a pricing concern we are only supposed to keep quiet?

Look at the way you post, you're merely indirectly promoting what you have. WC kits are more than just XSPC or EK. There are also Swiftech, Heatkiller, koolance, enzotech and many more yet there is only repetition of XSPC and EK kit which is both you are selling. If you wanna promote you goods, this is not the place for promoting. There are rules and regulation to follow and if all traders can follow, why can't you?

We are happy to recommend other kits however we only recommend what is generally available and things that customers and forumers usually go for.

The forumer was looking for a kit and EK/XSPC is often mentioned and are what's available in the market easily.

Where would customer buy Enzotech/Heatkiller/Koolance "kit"? If we were aware of such kits being available we'd be happy to list all of them down. In fact if you know which supplier carry all these kits, we'd appreciate that you point it our to us so that we could add them to our inventory and recommend forumers these kits. However, even if we were to point all the kits out, we'd still be branded as "promoting" them since we sell them. You are basically suggesting that forumers who are also dealer should refrain from even suggesting/mentioning anything that they sell whether they were just providing information or answering direct questions that others had asked for.

Additionally, it wasn't just US who pointed out EK and XSPC kit other forumers suggested them as well

That's a good suggestion and we will use PM and leave the public to answer these questions that apparently some moderators are being very sensitive about when dealers answered them.

For your information, you deleted our Scythe Gentle Typhoon thread when were were merely asking if anybody was interested in them. There was no pricing given, and we had no inventory available. You could have moved it to the bulk order if you think this is not the right place to post them but instead you completely deleted it without any notice. And if you think that was a fitting action, please kindly delete all these threads:

Fellow seller/forumer opened a fan club in the hardware section and directly promoted their products with a gigantic link "WHERE TO GET/BUY XIGMATEK PRODUCTS IN LYN"
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...643&hl=xigmatek

If you wish to do your job, please do it fairly.

Actually, for your information, we also carry all other water cooling brands which we have not had time to list yet. It makes sense to recommend products that are good and have excellent reviews.

Brands we carry:
Swiftech, Noiseblocker, TFC, XSPC, EKWB, BitFenix, Dangerden, Bitspower, Naturalpoint.

We suggest XSPC RS240 kit and EK 240 kit because they are cheap and they use lower profile radiator which is compatible with most casings that fit the H100. People who buy these kits are people who just started WC and at RM490 the RS240 kit is a great alternative to the H100 which has no user replaceable parts.

FYI, we'd provided more than enough examples for you to do your job which you'd so eloquently demonstrated your dedication to this moderator role. Kindly clean up those threads that we posted or restore the deleted Scythe thread from the garbage bin and STOP nitpicking on our posts.

Cyntrixtech - it's fine when you reply questions to queries, we understand that you sell some goods and some replies, it is relevant.

the way you replied, it's towards the promoting side already. grey area. for example - is there a need to say NO STOCK when there isn't even an enquiry for it?

people only ask for the cost yet you replied as if it's an enquiry to you regarding your stocks.

Anyway - just bear with us as we do our part ensure that discussions are not hijacked with personal sales. Your signature is good enough as a promotional material. smile.gif

When we mentioned NO STOCK, it wasn't our main intention to promote what we have and what we don't have. It's just an extra information that we happened to have and simply provided along the line.

The problem that we have is that clearly our fellow moderator here is nitpicking on our posts, scanning through the things that we posted and cleaning everything up that he'd found to be remotely related to things that we sell.

There are many sellers here promoting their products, so blatantly that you could see it RIGHT THERE yet they were left alone. We'd provided many examples and if our moderator here deems that a simple posts or two of us requires a deletion, and an interests check with no ready stock require a complete removal with no noticed, we'd very much like to see immediate action taken to those blatant self-promoting threads out there.

Another example here: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2096177?author=storm88

Regardless, misunderstandings tend to happen as interpretations vary, especially in this case when you provided extra information that people had not requested. smile.gif

I've explained to you how your posts were interpreted, and the best we can do is to apologize for any misunderstanding and hope that on your end, you would also understand that it's not that simple on our end either.

Have a nice day.

This looks like a Power Color card. They tend to use red PCB even for referenced card. I'm not a big fan of the plate there, EK has been using them since "V2" blocks.

I sure hope ATI/AMD reference cards are not going to be red....

@CyntrixTech just use pm to answer them or recommend them. I can tell u now lots of jealous ppl go report things like this i personally dont know wtf their problem is anyways....... but hey hey look at bright side u c someone do it u go report them too lor tongue.gif
*
Well, i seriously don't understand why these people have so much free time reporting while not doing their job that they are suppose to be doing, when they saw business rivals being helpful, all they ever do is butthurt and spam report button.

Personaly, i don't think Cyntrixtech would be bother to report them, they're too busy with supporting and helping customer. Plus who would use such a dumb tactic anyway, Being unhelpful yet, still want to report someone being helpful.
Anyway, Cyntrixtech has earned my respect honestly, unlike those resellers that cyntrixtech pointed out early, always butthurt when other have better customer feedback, and could only rely on Report button to sabotage them from being helpful.

This looks like a Power Color card. They tend to use red PCB even for referenced card. I'm not a big fan of the plate there, EK has been using them since "V2" blocks.
I sure hope ATI/AMD reference cards are not going to be red....

A LYN reseller has confirmed with me that today he just sold one Sapphire 7970 with a black PCB. Same like the posted picture only with Sapphire sticker on it. thumbup.gif

I can kinda figured who they are. They were not supposed to sell any of the cards until 1/9. Don't be surprised that 7950 is a carbon copy of 7970 with a tone down bios and smaller power connector. Same thing with the 6950 and 6970 reference. It makes sense because AMD just wanted to position the products but deliberately having a production line to remove some parts may waste more time and resources than just neutering the 7970

+1, it looks quite concentrated. if me i would dilute it with distilled water harmlessly.
don't bother with the warning, as their wb also they recommended us to use their coolant & fittings.

is it possible to use bitspower reservoir on EK D5 dual top  by adding the "EK-Multioption RES X2 - LINK50/60 1xG1/4"?

The dual top thread has a 50mm for the multi option link.  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

EK-Multioption RES X2 - LINK50/60 1xG1/4
http://www.ekwaterblocks.com/shop/reservoi...-60-1xg1-4.html

FYI.

EK non x2 resr 50mm
EK x2  resrvoir 60mm
Bitpoweser reser 60mm
*
Bitspower tube (60mm) can fit on EK bottom (60mm) perfectly. So i don't see why it can't pair with the dual top.
the LINK50/60 adapter has 50mm thread one side & 60mm on the other side.

Should hv no problem to hit 4.5GHz HT off @ 1.35v, but enabling HT will need empirically more than 1.4v kissing my old cooling limit, thats why i couldnt do 4.5GHz HT.

i just clean the route including the HF block. Found one plastic hair long stuck on the W.B, lolx.

indeed, this new EK reservoir got alot of plastic hair leftover from factory especially at the thread. Internal surface is rough.

Bitspower reservoir is clean and smooth internal and externally.

change the connector into 3pin fan header . plug in to mobo fan slot, by reading the rpm divide by the calibrate value to get the actual flow.
for me, i plug into aquaero 5. everything is auto smile.gif

Whichever looks better to you biggrin.gif ekwb is still one of the top choices. If you were to start with a kit, don't even bother changing until you find out how high ur oc can go.

A lot of the time wc beyond a certain level is all cosmetics, the actual difference in temp maybe 1-2 and your ambient would play a bigger role.

Apparently the backplate for Raystorm for LGA2011 is not compatible with RivE because the CPU backplate is bigger.. Need to order the fix from XSPC. Just a heads up for anyone considering to get Raystorm for their RivE.

Afaik raystorm doesnt come with 2011 mounting bracket so u hv to use the provided 1366 bracket and x-socket provided by rive.

Just use the 1366 bracket as owikh suggested. The cons of using the 1366 bracket is that you do not get the spring loaded frame to clamp down the cpu. So if the block was not installed properly you may get error 66 when you boot up the PC (something we encountered once tongue.gif)

Even with the 1366 socket + x-socket the cpu backplate of rive is in the way. Maybe I am missing something here. Googled about it last night and it seems that it was an issue and XSPC provides a fix...

actually i think loop doesnt really matter. what really matters is the pump must be after res and be located lower than the res. (for a single setup)

If you run pass the water through 2-3 gpus then only to the CPU, I'm pretty sure on heavy load it will make a difference. GPU can load till 80C+ on the first card.

dont have to do separate loop also can. just add in another rad between cpu block and gpu block is enough already

yes you can with some mod to hold the rad on top.
or used the EK rad holder and mount it behind at the
120mm fan hole

What rad do u prefer? 120/240/360 or 480?
I used to buy mid tower casing but it doesnt fit my 360 so I go for HAF932 and love the side (black edition)--->dont like HAF X much coz
no side panel and need to pay more sad.gif

its depend on your setup & budget bro
imo single 360 rad is enough to cool single cpu + gpu loop
but affected by your ambient temperature
ticker rad better in heat dissipation.

Are you going to wc cpu only or cpu+gpu?
I would suggest you to get the wc kit "type" coz it is cheaper with complete set like EK kit(cpu only) = less than 1k
and if you want to wc your gpu you have to buy separate gpu waterblock + a pair of fitting(barbs)--->usually G3/8 + extra 1-2m tube = depend on gpu wb (full cover or universal wb + ramsinks)

Hmm, question for you guys here. Assuming I have a WC setup which i leave unused for say a month. Would it cause any issues (i.e corrosion, etc)?

full cover or universal wb?
pls pay attention for full cover because choosing gpu is not an easy task...
u have to make sure whether your pcb is reference or non reference!
most of full cover wb cant fit into non reference pcb...so if you have non reference just go to universal wb but pls take a look what is supported by gpu wb model as well

it wont corrode unless u are using a coolant with something in it that can corrode the acrylic res

and it wont have any growth of algae if u use biocide

Just use 100% distilled water...no corrosive or algae growth occurred because no organism in distilled water even you abondon your pc for a month
except the wb is made of aluminium(corrosive will happen not algae growth issue)...
For better result just add silver coil in reservoir and this can prevent corrosive from happen for 1-2 year...

You will save your money and you get lower temp like 2-3°C below than mixtured water with coolant/dyes

So algae shouldnt be a problem if i use biocide eh? Anyone here actually tried it for themselves? like left the rig alone for a month or so hmm.gif

you are talking about cathodic corrosion right (due to different metals). Yeah, that i understand. I guess i'm actually more concerned about algae. Really tempted to get WC (next frontier for me) but worried my pc using habits might screw things up sad.gif

hello, i decided to go wc bcause i am terribly annoyed by the heat my gc is emitting. a few parts are oredi into consideration, but i could need some better ideas from the experienced notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif here is a picture of my pc, its a NZXT phantom. prolly help in giving u a better picture on the casing space i hv to deal with.

user posted image

PUMP - SWIFTECH MCP655
RAD - XSPC RX 360*,SWIFTECH MCR220QP
RESERVOIR - BITSPOWER 525 BAY BLACK
BLOCK - 2xHD6950 GPU, ASUS ROG C4F*, AMD AM3*

*maybe in the future drool.gif drool.gif

i believe its rad>block>res>pump>rad? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif i hv no experience watsoever in this so it would be great if u guys put in ur 2cents. im not sure about the loop layout in my pc. no idea on the parts assembly, fittings, coolant, tubings etc. and not quite sure about the parts that i need to get. if possible manage everything inside the casing because sometimes i move between houses. and i wanna stick with the black&red theme (if i got an interested buyer for my black yellow psu, im letting it go to have a psu that matches the rest)

thanks in advance!

pump before res
imho and better grab 2 rads 240 + 240
so that the mobo+cpu = one rad
and gpu+gpu = one rad

yes suppose to be res before pump and your pump must be lower than res. reason is you dont want your pump to run without water inside coz it can damage the pump.

no worries mate, no judgement here cheers.gif

anyways guys, ive read that it takes a 120 for each cpu that'll be wced. im more worried about the interior space for the rad specs. prob #1 the phantom comes with clips for a top rad, being cooled by the 2x200mm top fans. but not sure if most rads will clear the ram heatsink & the interior width space. and is the top 200mm fans are enuff to cool the rads?

well... to me bigger tube is good for bigger case.. coz u have space to route the tubes. but for tight casing it is wise to get 3/8id since u can bend it and route is more easily. it all comes down to personal preference.. i've used 1/2id before i found it not up to my liking.. plus the difference in performance is like next to none..

If you have extra tubing connected to the res, you can take out the res, open the cap and drain from there.

Bought 2pcs of this but decided not to use.
I think the position of that G1/4 inlet is annoying.
I can turn the whole thing until it stops at one angle only which is far from my desired angle.
Hope the inlet is moveable.
