So basically both PC WC shops and hardware stores are selling exactly the same hose clamp right. I've some plastic hose clamps, but from what I heard those plastics one are not reliable, that's why I'm looking for metal one.
Yes hose clamp cuts into the outer plastic which is fine. Looks bad for reuse. BUt because you eat into the outer layer around 1-2 mm of the hose the clamp does not get loose at all. as there is mechanical compression and friction so if you are running high pressure that's the way to go

Caution. We have been warned about a change on some AMD reference HD 7970 graphics cards (AMD 109-C38637-00) which now use one capacitor slightly higher (about 1mm higher) than what it was originally.
EK has already responded to the change and is now selling modified version that fit past this capacitor.
Use of old, original EK-FC7970 on these changed cards may result in burned graphics card! Please double check the height of all capacitors prior to installing the water block.
Hopefully Waterblock support will be the same, so you can upgrade easily ...
find out that mobo waterblock kinda hard to sell out as 2nd hand.
yea right, other people using different setup, that's why it's hard to sell used mobo's wb. sell it seperately will take longer time than sell it together with the mobo.
soon the IVY bridge will goin' out and let's see if it's time for me to replace my 2009 1st gen i7 wc setup. . the hackintosh rig setup used for the work purpose
+1.... I would say wc mobo make it more durable, as it run cooler [if u oc alot]... For minor oc, It only serve eye candy.... Mobo block alone not for sale, only for mobo+block+CPU combo

i don't think heat can change color by itself in a short time unless if you're using for a long period of time (1 year above). maybe some residue left from hardware itself. you need to check either the part inside the block response towards the change of color or not.
