Are those hose clamps that sell at hardware store work for barbs on PC water cooling system? Are they safe from leak?

They work of course. Just make sure you find the right size for tubing you using.

They save you from leak when water temp heat up or u got high pressure loop by preventing the tube being break off from you barb.

Find out something weird for Gentle Typhoon Ap15 when mounted to BI GTS360 in push.

Eg.
1)When 1st fan in full rpm, silent, no whining sound.
2)When turn on 2nd next to the 1st fan, terrible high pitch whining sound.
3)When slow down 2nd fan, turn 3rd fan to full speed, got some noise, but not the high pitch whinning sound.

Anyone face the same issue ? smile.gif sweat.gif

that's Typhoon  laugh.gif
i think it's normal. Motor resonance, case honey comb vents, air flow turbulence, rad fin density & thickness, vibration, fans not tighten enough or use 2-3 screws
If you were expecting silence, then GT is the wrong fan for you.
There is no fan that is silent at 1850 RPM. It will make some noise.
Noise will get louder when the fans are placed side by side.
if you want quieter, you can tune down the speed with a fan controller.
that's the function of fan controller.
ya.... tht wat i thinkinh about too.

now try to detect the noise source and isolate it.

btw, the airflow it move out frm gts360 rad is way better it terms of noise airflow ratio compare to other fan in 1800-2000 rpm range. laugh.gif

Can this

fit with my XSPC raystorm GPU block?
*
cant, unless you mod the swiftech heatsink. i m currently using the raystorm gpu. barb clearance for ram sink is lower compare to mcw series uni block from swiftech.

Hey bro, you're using Raystorm GPU block too?
What heatsink you're using ?
Which one is the best?
How hard did you overclock your GC?
Any issue with using heat sink only?
*
yeah, using raystorm gpu. ram and vrm cooled using stock ati heatsink plate. you can do tht by taking out the shroud and the heatpipe heatsink of amd ati reference cooler. the barbs barely clear the plate by using bp rotary.

What clock did you achieve with the GPU block and temp?
If you don't mind can you show me a photo of how you place the heatsink?
I can't really imagine it because I'm a total newbie here  icon_question.gif

Follow the guide to remove the shroud and heatsink.

then make it some sort like this:
user posted image

you may remove the red fan / leave it there.

Mount the block to the GPU, and its done.

Btw, I am using 7870. The block barely clear the heatsink edge which is taller because it got a shroud mounting there. You may need a BP dual rotary to make it clear the edge.

If you plan to use Raystorm GPU on 7970, you may need this:

using the P8Z68-V asus board
you would need something like the koolance mosfet block or watercooled mosfet block. I used Larkooler because it was available locally.
You need to make the mounting plates for the respective mosfet blocks. This would require machining or a laser cut for the bracket.
total cost for the brackets and the larkooler blocks for a 2 mosfet blocks was rm200
next time when need to change motherboard spend about rm30 to change the mounting plates for the new motherboard

mosfet blocks when priming reach to 60C in a haf chassis, so the mosfet chips are around 65C-68C
they do benefit from watercooling

mind to share ur setup, maybe next time can follow ur idea.

its good to save our $$ by just changing the mounting instead of whole block .

using long screw driver and clean cloth
wrap the screw driver with the cloth and make sure the cloth is wet using water+shower gel.

for the blocks i used ketchup aka tomato sauce.
