just receive a sms - not for the warranty registration but rather from DiGi saying the advance payment i paid last Friday is "successful". hopefully the warranty sms will follow shortly.

Bought mine with SEP with 2 years warranty. Received e-warranty few days later and got a call from samsung abt the warranty activation just now.

You guys should not worry too much about the SMS confirmation ; any claims just bring your receipt will do
But in my experience dealing with service center, not even necessary to show receipt. They just key in phone serial number and warranty expiry date is in their system
I bought an AP set ( SGS ) from lowyat and Spore service center still process FOC for me - need not even show them any proof of purchase ! I sent in my friend Galaxy Tab to Plaza Berjaya - to reflash his bricked Tab and also need not show any receipt as his was SME set and key in serial number was sufficient

Found the solution for usb tethering. You need to download kies software and install on PC that you want to use USB tehtering. Than after that usb tethering works.

You have to chase these people. I just received my ewarranty detail SMSed to me just now after bringing the matter up to the Celcom Center in Menara Atlan.Otherwise my warranty details unknown.

All they need is your IMEI number and the SMS you want your warranty details to be sent to. I wasn't comfortable giving IMEI number over the phone but I'd rather not have to chase more people to settle all this nonsense. I'm reminded on why I abhor contacted packages cases like this.
