QUOTE(CrossX @ Nov 24 2011, 07:07 PM) why bother bro, its what we choose to do, besides, we are just searching for the right UI and performance we need to suit our daily life. I had a SGS previously and i flash almost every week, but when i hit a nice ROM then i stop. totally agree with CrossX.So if samsung stock roms had problems we keep quiet and just use it? Voicing it out and troubleshooting solves this kind of problems, everything now is very dependent on user base, a large user base like SGS have their hands on an alpha build ICS. Imagine if one day everybody stops flashing, the developers can stop and there goes a bunch of people screaming for new ROMs. its a cycle my friend. |

Even when the ROM/firmware are stable, there will still be custom ones for those wanting to push it to the slightest bit. Question is, where do you draw line and start using your Note?
Coz to some, they want to make their Note something it isn't supposed to do. This is a mobile device, there has to be compromises so that it perform as what it should, a mobile device. Not continuously tweaked but seldom used. Notice I don't say that it can't be tweaked, heck, I even encourage and cheer for that, just that you will need to settle for something and start using and enjoying your Note as what it should be used for. |

Usage percentage went through the roof just for the TWLauncher itself, sometimes dormant app like Amazon Appstore also causes kernel panics and reboots it. Since I used ADW EX, not anymore. At least not that I can see.See, I tweaked mine too. But the differences is, I SETTLED on it and stopped messing with it when it worked stable nicely. QUOTE(pot @ Nov 24 2011, 09:10 PM) If you're thinking of getting a spare cable, any microUSB cable works. Look for USB to microUSB cable in LYP. I'm looking for one tomorrow so that I can place my Note in a separate stand, so I'm gonna need a long one. |

See, I tweaked mine too. But the differences is, I SETTLED on it and stopped messing with it when it worked stable nicely. No device is perfect, but we use/tweak/oc/uc and etc to suit us. this is my 2nd Gnote. the first 1 im already flash 2 times and my 2nd note is already 3 times. now its not lagging anymore after i find the good kernel and rom. |

I will be getting 8-10 pieces microUSB cables, 3-4 in-car phone holder and hopefully can get a fitting pouch for my Note this Saturday at handphone accessories wholesale store. |

But there are those who flash the moment the news of a new ROM/Kernel pops up on XDA, just because it is new or "custom". No device is perfect, but we use/tweak/oc/uc and etc to suit us. this is my 2nd Gnote. the first 1 im already flash 2 times and my 2nd note is already 3 times. now its not lagging anymore after i find the good kernel and rom. I personally don't agree in OCing, there are side effect and detriment to the hardware if you do, especially in tight spaces like in the Note. You may see results in OCing there and then, but the long term effect you can never see or predict. you're pushing the device outside its prescribed technical specification, this is not a desktop processor with ample buffer to play around with. |
