Whatever, water heater is not expensive please don't buy a cheap quality water heater and engage some cheap not trained to install. A good brand is only like RM 150-200 difference. Life is definitely worth more than that. Even is for rented.

I install all the instant water heater myself, and I can say my quality of work are much better than many contractors.

Please also be aware of whether the product is a "stolen" product. Coz I have some customer who told me that they bought it in a very cheap price, though it's actually a "stolen" product.

Most of the dealer offering the price that is around the same. It's the service and the location that is convenient to you.

I'm not sure whether to go for electrical shop or shops in malls like jusco/senq and whether the prices r the same.

Also, when they say installation is included, does it mean removing the old one as well? I have an old water heater with the tank being positioned 2 meters from the ground. Do they mind to climb up and remove the old one?

Is only install, no removal of storage. You need to pay the removal. Instant water heater usually they can help remove because is easy job.

Any idea how much is the cost of removal? I'm planning to change the tank type to instant type but still they need to help me to remove the old one. I'm afraid there is some drilling and wiring required as well since I don't want the instant panel to be located 2metres from the ground lol

If you have the tank type, you have a mixer right? Why downgrade to Instant? Storage tank are much better and safer too.

it's quite old already (10-15yrs). and seems like the water pressure is decreasing over the years.

Water pressure is incoming problem right? If you spend money to remove, must well spend money to replace it. The amount of money you spend to remove may be only slightly less than installing one.

To disconnect storage heater, you need to also get plumber to disconnect all the old piping. You can't leave the water inside the storage stagnant for too long. The incoming and outgoing piping need to be drain and seal.

There is no free lunch in this world. Ask your friend for any good plumber. Sorry I don't like to recommend / introduce people in forum. Too many problem already.

haha ok will do

btw, what is the reason the tank type is safer? if switched on and unattended, the temperature will keep rising but i assume there is temperature trip or something. it is also inconvenient as need to wait a few minutes for water to heat up...
