just realized my joven water heater has a very unique problem where the pump on/off button is missing, even though it's suppose to be there.

I notice the newer WH with build in pump do not have speed control and on/off for pump. Saw few difference model & brands don't have. You may have a old packing, but new design unit.

If they are the same batch this company QC is having big problem.... If difference batch number can be design update. Let see what answer you get from the shop.

after some check, it seems that the on/off for pump is there, just that they used the wrong sticker for it.

after pressing hardly for a few times at the "estimated" place for the on/off for pump, it finally worked, but felt that it was slightly noisier than the rest, maybe just paranoid.

disappointed with joven now. sleep.gif

Why you need a ON/OFF switch for a pump? Since you decide that the pressure is not enough and require a pump in the heater.

the problem is, when i first turn on the water heater, the pump was off, hence i need the switch to turn on the pump.

yes it's that bad. doh.gif

Any idea what are the differences between AC and DC pump apart from noises?

So you buying the heater but wrong label with the pump knob. Not that you want a ON/OFF switch for a heater.

Hi, you can refer to post #419

Aside from the noise, Dc pump will cost more but it gives 5years warranty, and it saves more electricity. Whereas ac pump only give 1year warranty, and cheaper compared to dc pump.

for joven dc pump, it seems that all come with the on/off switch for pump, but yeah, mine came with an additional wrong label.

Cause I found out that the switch is useless. My heater also have a switch for the pump. But many yrs use, never off before. Cause the water pressure is always low.

Same goes to mine. I thought my heater got problem when I first bought it (2 years ago). The button just doesn't seem taking any effect. And when I asked the sales person in the showroom i'm working here regarding the low water pressure, they told me that the reason water pressure is low is most likely caused by the water pump that I had...

I have 3 units of Rubine water heater (built-in ac pump) bought on January. 1 in the ground floor bathroom and the other 2 in the first floor bathrooms.
They were all running fine until the water disruption started in Selangor. One of the 1st floor unit doesn't function well anymore. When I turn it On and use, the pump sounds very weak and it dies off after a while leaving the water pressure extremely slow. But funnily, the water pressure is like normal from the taps in the same bathroom.
The other 2 units are working fine. Is the problem with my piping or water heater?

Anyone can guide?
