DC pump last longer, less noise.

DC consume less electricity.

You forget to add AC to DC conversion, this also will generate noise, added complexity of the circuits making it another potential problem.

so it is just good enough if i am getting AC water heater.

another question, for a water heater that have built in pump, is that possible to turn off water heater function (sometimes, its good to shower in a cold water especially El-Nino is coming soon) and turn on the pump only?

So far 3 units of build in pump I used all allow pump to run while the heating element is switch off. The newer Joven Instant water heater I am using now don't allow the pump to be switch on/off and can't control pump speed.

Latest is using Joven. Previous two model was Centon. This water heater with build in pump really not lasting. At most I use the first generation Centon for 5 years.

I install myself.

Back to the AC/DC topic, aside from the noise, Dc pump will cost more but it gives 5years warranty, and it saves more electricity. Whereas ac pump only give 1year warranty, and cheaper compared to dc pump.

To be honest, if you feel that your house's water pump is strong enough then you can switch off the built-in pump from the heater, as the built-in only helps a bit smile.gif

Heating element is still operate the same since the first come into marker. All the same.

Want more efficient use Gas heater. For more budget get Solar, but ROI is close to 0%

There are some AC that can reclaim back the heat exhausted to heat water. There are M&E exhibition at KLCC (today is last day), some brands are showcasing their stuff there.

This concept is been around for many years. Singapore promoting it very aggressive and die off. There are some challenges in the technical issue. One I remember was the piping that complicate things and cost. Another is when A/C running it for long hours after heated up the all water what happen? Cold the water? If they already address the earlier challenge and price are reasonable it will be a good future use.

Hi all,

I just installed 3 units of Joven water heater with pam together with Deka rainshower sets in 3 bathroom upstairs. I noticed the water coming out from the rainshower is not as expected. Anyone has any suggestion to rectify the problem?

Thanking in advance....

Expected to be slow flow, because the flow rate are low. If you need higher flow rate it need external pump, or your water heater installed in ground floor. Than again with good flow rate you will have problem with warming the water especially in rainy day.

To really enjoy hot water rain shower, is either storage heated, Solar, Gas, or high power instant water heater.

Thanks, weikee...Would installing an external pump help? What type, DC or AC ? Where to install, inlet or outlet? Sorry for asking... Newbie at this. Any information would greatly be appreaciated...
